I’d like to see this as well. Orr has been a rail pain to do so far because of a lack of people.
In cities keep the current server and overflow shard system. You need the server shards in cities to help with community and RP.
Out in the PvE world drop the server shard completely and run everything off the overflow shards. Populate the shards until reasonably full and then open a new one. Perhaps give an option to jump to a busier shard when your current shard’s population drops too low.
The one big problem I can see with that is that when a new overflow starts up it may be in default state, if it closed down there may be problems with getting shards to progress through the event states. I’d suggest saving state when shutting down a dead overflow and re-loading it when the overflow comes back up. May already do this for all I know.
Alternatively give me a “move to overflow” slash command and see how many people start using it as a trial of this sort of change. I think pick-up may be pretty high.
Grrr, just got hit by this as well. Glad to hear it’s getting fixed. I can go play an Alt until then happily.
Vaguely related not: If I do a forum search for “Through the looking glass” (with or without the quotes) I get 18 results and this thread isn’t one of them. In fact none of the results appears to have anything to do with that text string.
After many, many, many attempts I managed to complete griffinrook run with the bomb, in under 3 minutes, without taking any combat damage. Set the bomb, blew the chest open and….
…It’s empty. There’s nothing in it.
Is that right? Considering it’s a huge silver chest and all other chests in the game give loot it seems a little odd, not to mention a huge let down considering how hard that jump puzzle is.
Note: May be relevant. I had previously completed the run but lost the bomb part way through. I decided to finish it, for practice, and it turns out you get the achievement even if you don’t have the bomb when you get to the top. I then went back and did it with the bomb.
Yeah, I get this all the time as well.
Didn’t think to bind sheath weapons, that’s a good idea, will do it next time I’m on.
I’m not sure but I think the game detects when a AI opponent is in a situation where it can no longer reach you (i.e. a melee only opponent and your up on some cliff it can’t get to) and your attacks start to fail with “obstructed” appearing.
This has happened to me a couple times and jumping down always makes me able to damage them. I imagine anything is fair in PvP though as if you can get up there they can too.
