Gaile, I just wanted to say a quick thanks to you and others on the team for helping me with my account issue.
I was in the same boat as Floryn above, though my reinstatement took a week longer. After my second and final appeal denial, I gave up and turned my attention to another MMO. Needless to say, I was surprised when I received a polite email with a kind, sincere apology from Gaile informing me that a mistake had been made…twice in my case. I wouldn’t be surprised if, in the near future, ArenaNet moves from what appeared to be a “one size fits all” review policy to a more in depth, case by case approach. The latter method will most certainly increase the time investment, but I think it worth the effort in order to avoid wrong terminations. I despise cheaters, bots, hackers, and the effect they have on the game…but I also have a dread in the back of my mind that some people may have been banned from this great game due to no fault of their own. In closing, after Gaile’s message to me, I have faith that positive changes will result from the events of the last couple of weeks.
