Save and Load builds

As an avid GW player, this is all I have ever asked for since GW2 started. I witnessed all the different changes to the build/trait scheme and now that they finally have their final cut, this should easily be a feature. Although I enjoy making and trying out new builds, I play all professions and it’s not reasonable to memorize every single trait and writing them down just tend to become unorganized or lost. I’ve already posted on the forums about this a couple times throughout the past few years and it’s good to see others are interested in it too. So I’m still pleading to Anet to make this happen!

Unfortunately, I cannot reference the forum post, but over a year ago they discussed this possibility of saving builds including armor and weapons. Now that they have the final foundation of builds, which is specializations and elite specializations, I feel they can finally make this possible… I just hope it happens because it is so helpful in build diversity and testing out new things… GW1 had this option and I used it frequently

will this ever be a feature?? I haven’t heard anything about it in a while and for someone who plays multiple professions, it would be a great addition. It doesn’t need to involve armor and weapons from the start, but they could work on that later… just something simple like saving specializations and traits. Thoughts?

Game Updates: Wardrobe, Transmutation, Outfits

I agree with the frustration of the town clothes but I see a lot of posts about that topic and not so much about the naming of transmuted weapons/armor. So, I would like to reiterate how disappointing it is to see our items list the original, pre transmuted item name instead of the item skin. In fact, I don’t understand why they changed this at all, it was fine the way it was before! I assume most of us want the name of the skin, not the item we used just for the stats. The issue is that all of my characters have cultural armor and weapon skins that fit that character, and I want my “Sorcerer’s” armor to say that, not 6 different pieces with all different names. It may seem trivial, but it’s really frustrating to me.

Please, Anet, I enjoy your game but this is something I really want to see fixed!

After speaking with a guild mate tonight, I came up with an idea that would benefit both sides… if an item is transmuted, the name should be “Stat name” Coat “of the Rune” taking out the ‘look’ name. For example, It would say “Berserker’s Coat of the Mesmer” instead of “Berserker’s Exalted Coat of the Mesmer.” This way, my Sorcerer’s Coat will not be associated with the name Exalted…. the only thing that may be tricky is items with specific name’s like Ogden’s Coat, etc. that do not have the stat in the name… just a thought….
