After being away from GW2 for roughly six months, I’ve decided to come back and check things out now that Heart of Thorns has launched. Those months ago, I would download patches at my ISP’s service package max of roughly 6-7 MB/sec. Now, for no reason at all, I have trouble getting higher than 800 KB/sec. I have already tried using the assertsrv method with the IP addresses, they either make it even slower or freeze the launcher altogether.

Nothing has changed with my Router or Firewall. Everything is still exactly the same. Has anyone else encountered this issue recently?

My human guy is not fresh from the womb and he’s not transgendered. More than half of these faces aren’t even remotely masculine.

I haven’t played since January 2013, I come back into game to have a peek and see my old GS/Rifle build completely blank. Traits have changed, skills have changed, everything refunded.

Just looking around the forums I see the concept of having a rifle in your build for PvE/Dungeons is shunned entirely. What exactly have I missed?

I see the go to build is now GS / Axe – Mace. Call me stubborn but I’ve never really liked maces but I’ll cave if I have to. Is my old build really that obsolete now? I used to stack bleed and Vulnerability with the rifle and then 100 blades / “beyblade” everything to death.

For the record, I don’t PvP at all. Never have, never plan to.

I personally would love to see map completion something for each character personally. Meaning each alt still has to go to each of the POIs, Vistas, etc. to get experience. Revealing the map however should be account wide. Trying to uncover the map on alts just to see where you’re going or to make it less of a blotchy eyesore is busy work.
