Hey there,
I just had a quick suggestion on salvage kits. I know its not the most necessary thing for the game, nor do I know if its even possible to implement, but I was just wondering if it would be possible to stack salvage kit uses.
Lets say you buy one Masters Kit (25 uses), then you buy another one. Instead of getting a separate item it would just add the number onto the uses your previous one had. I know I like to have a few salvage kits with me, and it would save me a few spaces in the inventory and having to search my inventory to see if I have another one if I run out.
This is clearly along the lines of a small convenience thing, and not really a big deal, but I still think it would be nice.
What do you think?
Hey all,
I apologize if this is already a topic, for some reason my forum search doesn’t work.. I was just wondering if anybody had any experience playing GW2, and specifically the new action camera, with an XB1/PS4 controller.
If you have could you just let me know how you like it, how you got it working, etc..
Thanks!
Just wanted to thank the team for the sheer amount of work that has gone into this expansion. Doesn’t matter if you aren’t a fan of some of the elite specs, or if you don’t plan on raiding, or if you only sPvP. Even though it hasn’t launched yet, it is clear to me, purely based on everything that has been shown in articles and the incredible amount of livestreams, that such an immense amount of work has been put into this game. I know people can just say “oh it’s their jobs.. shut up..”, but I think that is a ridiculous thing to say based upon some other companies, their games, and many times, how they are ruined them for the sake of business and money… (Too many to list and its inappropriate to start that discussion here…) The dedication from this team to do anything and everything that they can to listen to their playerbase and improve upon an already fantastic game, is beyond evident.
From Colin’s physical inability to speak at Twitchcon, to Rubi’s apparent desire to use the Juggernaut replica to smash Joel in the face when he wouldn’t stop talking about all the fantastic things he’s been working on, its been a pretty enjoyable hype train.
I still find it hard to believe that despite the fact I have been playing since launch, and logged well over 1000 hours in game (which apparently isn’t even that much according to a lot of other players), I still have countless things that I haven’t done, even aside from this imminent expansion.
Regardless of if you intend on purchasing the expansion or not, I hope you can all join me in saying thank you to the team for their dedication and hard work.
To my fellow players, veteran and new, I hope you enjoy the expansion (and Halloween mwahaha) as much as I know I will be. New players, and fellow vets for that matter, feel free to add me in game if you want to group up for anything, are interested in a guild, have questions, or wish to challenge my mighty Norn and his glorious handlebar mustache.
Anyways, thank you again Anet, have fun my fellow players, and I hope to see you all in game!
I just started playing the game a couple weeks ago, I am level 80 and enjoying the game a lot. In each MMO I play Halloween is my favorite event of the year. Why have they decided to begin Halloween and release their first major expansion on the same exact day? This can only be a negative thing.
New players like myself are going to be overwhelmed by the fact that there are two major events taking place literally at the exact same time. They also have nothing to do with one another. Whether I do the Halloween stuff first or skip it and head straight to HoT I’m going to feel like I’m missing out.
I know it isn’t really a huge deal (kind of is for me). I just do not understand how anyone thought this was a good idea?
In my opinion, its a perfect marketing strategy, of sorts. They have thousands of new free to play members trying out the game that haven’t purchased HoT. Then they put out one of the most fun events that they implement into the game annually, and when its over, I bet a lot of those new players will commit to HoT.
I remember the last real Halloween event to be some of the most fun I have ever had in gaming, let alone in GW2. On top of all that, I think that it is just a coincidence, and they were not going to skip Halloween.
My recommendations would be to just relax, have fun and don’t rush anything. Enjoy Halloween while it lasts and then jump into HoT. I know a lot of Vets are doing that regardless.
Also, for a first timer like you… Good luck on the Mad King’s Clock Tower… Evil laugh
;)
I just did this and it worked for this IP
Right click Guild Wars 2 Shortcut go to properties
In Target field after Gw2.exe" put a space and add -assetsrv 151.249.89.209:80
Ex. “E:\Program Files (x86)\Guild Wars 2\Gw2.exe” -assetsrv 151.249.89.209:80
Run in administrater mode
Hit apply and ok
LaunchIf those IP’s don’t work try each one of these.
151.249.90.197:80
151.249.90.198:80
151.249.90.199:80

151.249.89.197:80
151.249.89.209:80
151.249.90.138:80
This worked perfectly. Thanks!
I’m guessing this is just due to everybody trying to update the game at the same time but my updater is sitting at 0-10kbps and I have pretty good internet..
Anyone else having this issue?
Already bought it and couldn’t be more excited about it.
People are all lying claiming that they won’t buy it and that everyone in their 250 person guild won’t buy it.. People are so sensitive and overreact to every little thing. I was hoping for 30-40 bucks tops too but 50 really isn’t bad at all.
Regular content updates since launch for free, an immense amount of new content for HoT and THIS GAME DOESN’T HAVE A MONTHLY FEE.
Everybody is more than entitled to their own opinions. However, I bought the game, I am incredibly excited to play it, and I’m sure I won’t be disappointed. Despite this argument and our differing opinions, I truly hope to see you all in game!
:D

As a long time GW1 and GW2 player I wanted the feedback of the community on my suggestion. Though it may have already been brought up elsewhere in the forums, I wanted to suggest the implementation of a way to save character builds and armor/weapon sets. I know that this was extremely useful and convenient in GW1, so I thought I would bring it up.
Saying that Guild Wars 2 is “a lot different” than GW1 is an understatement, and I know that the ability to do this may cause some issues or may even sound cheap. However, a lot of recent updates to the game have been centered around the idea of convenience to players (new daily system, for example).
I figure that many players will simply assume that this would be cheap and say that you should always just be prepared for what you are going to do before you go and do it, however, I would say that much of the player base has multiple builds in there heads and multiple gear sets in their inventory anyways. Full armor/accessories/weapons for even 1 separate build take up a ton of space in your inventory, and even though you can change your build on the fly now, a way to actually save the builds for quick changes in between bosses/events/etc. might be pretty useful.
I do, however, believe that if this was ever implemented, it should hold the player to be able to save only 1 separate build and 1 separate set of gear (in a place outside of taking up bag space, without having to head to the bank).
Anyways, what do you all think? Is this asking too much/babying the players? Or do you think that this is a good suggestion? Also feel free to post your own variations to this suggestion and whatever else you have to say.
A bubble around your head and/or a fishbowl as an aqua breather. Like come on, this suggestion is so much more simple than the other ones..
