Ah, thanks for the friendly welcoming message mate. I haven’t played MMOs in about 5 years, so you can imagine what the transition is like and how much learning I’m gonna have to do. It seems amazing so far, so different to any other MMO I’ve ever played. The detail is astounding (truly counting myself lucky to be able to crank up the settings).

I just started the game up and have a level 1 human warrior from the server Blackgate. I heard it’s much quicker and easier to level with others, so here I am. If anyone is starting a low level character or simply feels like helping out, that’d be much appreciated. My character name is Menaphos.

Jesus this game is so confusing. I feel like I’m getting nowhere! :<

I had the same problem as you when I first started Guild wars 2 about a week ago. I did all of the hearts, vistas and Skill challenges in the area and yet still had problems with enemies such as the centaurs and Skelks. Just do EVERYTHING. That’s how I solved it. Remember, to gather, all you need do is visit a merchant (someone with the pile of coins icon over their head) and purchase a few gathering tools for a mere few copper. Every time you see a herb, rock, or tree icon on the mini map, head there and harvest it!
It’s great experience!
