I’m leveling right now and have been toying around with Well of Power (which I can’t find many posts on) plus Corruption skills.
Self-weakness= Might
Self- vulnerability= Protection
Self- poison= Regen
Self- bleed= The Ever-Rare Necro Vigor
The issue is that traited, I can only do all of this every 48 seconds, but the return is that it’s pretty fun and I love vigor. Does this sort of build have any viability post-leveling or will it become a waste of utilities and I’m doomed to only enjoy it while I climb to the top?
This is my first post and I know I’m bringing some fire with turret talk, but here goes:
I’m leveling up an engineer and felt the need to try turrets after seeing so many others put them down on the boards. I’m only crossing the 40’s, but here’s what I have planned:
The build is heavily focused on immobilizing. Taking traits I & II within firearms makes an immobilize much more powerful. The turret traits (III, X, and XII) within inventions help turrets stand up to punishment, and “deployable turrets” (V in tools) helps with my play style.
Basically, it’s all about using the tool belt skills and rifle to create a nice synergy with the turrets. I place the turrets and pick them up liberally, throughout a fight, and remain very mobile with the rifle. I haven’t found a situation that isn’t easy to overcome AND fun at the same time. The rifle (shotgun, except for ‘1’) allows for awesome mobility and cc, and the turrets distract while also providing dps and cc.
The net turret gives a toolbelt/ immobilizing opener (before throwing down the turret), and then, once dropped, continues throwing out immobilization throughout the fight.
The rifle turret is more of a full on distraction but can work up some nice bleeds while overcharged and/or ignored.
The rocket is hard hitting from long distance, but also cc with the overcharge.
I place all turrets apart from each other to minimize aoe damage, and use my rifle to manipulate the battlefield. The player’s target determines the turret’s attention. If I feel overwhelmed, I’ll switch targets a couple times to spread the turret targeting and therefore the immobilize/crip./vuln. and then get to work. The rifle helps to corral (4) and keep (2) enemies where you want them (away from turrets) while delivering decent single target (3) and aoe (5) damage. Plus, by the time the turrets finally succumb, the toolbelt skills will have recharged and you’ll have plenty of delay/finishing tools to compensate for waiting for the turret cooldowns.
Picking up turrets when the fight is winding down also makes them that much more ready for the next fight.
The healing turret is used as needed, but shouldn’t be underestimated as another distraction.
I haven’t tried this in pvp yet, so I’m sure some tweaks would be needed, but many single target champions haven’t been an issue.
