Guild Wars 2

I don’t play much WvW anymore either. It used to be a whole lot of fun! I used to love reset night! Our server commanders / guild leaders would strategically plan what guilds were going where to try to maximize our points. We were small but we planned and strategically put commanders and people in place. However, we don’t have to use any strategy anymore. I am on a small server that gets tossed around. Half of the time, I forget who I am linked with. There have been a few nice people on host server, but those are usually the exception. I really don’t think it is fun to have to run in a blob to take anything. The lag I get is horrible! And truthfully it doesn’t really matter if I log in and fight or help out, it does nothing for MY server.
I miss FC being an unlinked server. We had fun!
I guess I don’t understand why people complained about servers being dead before. Did they not understand that they could transfer to more active one if they wanted that?

I have to say, I am kind of confused about what it is DH wants. I see lots of posts by DH about being outnumbered. As a member of FC I can vouch for this! FC brought not too much in terms of numbers to this linking. We have always had a small WvW community. Yet, we were in tier 5, not 8.
I personally was excited about the link. We had some FC guilds move to DH and I always liked them, so I was really happy. But my enthusiasm has been squelched! 3 times I have tried to follow a DH commander. The first time, I was repeatedly invited to squad and kicked out as soon as I joined. The second time, I found NSP inside our keep and I told the commander, I was berated for not being able to kill them all myself. (I am a staff else ?ø? and I fight like a girl). ???? The last time, the commander stopped the Zerg in route to point out I was FC and made me leave, saying I was infecting DH. So, really I have not logged into WvW a whole lot lately. I think this has been the experience of a lot of The FC community. It is pretty oblivious that, DH DOES NOT want our help.

“Coming from Darkhaven, the server I was on the longest, SoS is not even close to dead or a “ghost town.” Darkhaven was doing fine before the world links but because they got paired with a very low population server versus servers that DH had trouble with alone, everything just kind of went down hill from there. Think of it like 6 people playing football, each of these people get a partner. There are 5 grown men and one child. DH gets paired with the child and subsequently gets destroyed because their partner simply doesn’t have enough presence.”

You know, the irony to this is, I tried to follow a DH commander. I didn’t join squad, because we are the subpar server, I just tried to follow the mindless killing blob. And you know what happened? The commander stopped the Zerg in the middle of heading somewhere to say “wait? We have an FC person with us? Ewwwww! Dang it! Now we can not be zerghaven”. Then random people starting telling me to leave. So, I map hopped and saw a keep we had was under attack. But you know what? I wasn’t getting anything out of defending it, or calling for backup. Maybe the above situation could be why FC doesn’t have much of a presence?!
