Personal Story Restoration update

I read this on the Guild Wars 2 wiki page:

If your character has not completed Setting the Stage (chapter 4) will allow you to see every map (primarily Lion’s Arch and Concordia) as it originally was.

It says “(primarily Lion’s Arch and Concordia)”, but all maps will be restored to how they were when the game released?

Also does this mean that Southsun Cove will be removed until you make Living Story season 1 replayable?

I am aware that you don’t have to do the dailies, but it’s there and I want to do it. It’s the same with reputation grinding in World of Warcraft. I don’t have to do it, but since it’s there I want to do it. I did not know that the dailies were scaled to the highest character on the account though. Also I was pretty sure that there was another thread about this subject. I just didn’t find it. But I still think it would be better if dailies were not scaled to the highest level character.

First of all I am sorry if this topic already has been discussed.

I haven’t been playing for a few months and I recently started checking out the game again. I saw that the dailies have been changed, but for me it hasn’t been improved. Before you could play the game almost without thinking about the dailies and you would still earn them. Now you have to think about what you have to do. Granted, you only have to earn 3 to get the daily meta now, but still. You are almost forced to enter PvP or WvW in order to get the meta.

For example if I create a level 1 Norn and I don’t like to do PvP or WvW (which I don’t) and the daily achievements for PvE are to for example gather lumber in Ascalon, kill the Fire Elemental in Metrica Province and some other things which are out of reach for a low level Norn. Then I have to either log on to my max level character to get the achievements or enter PvP or WvW. I really really do not like that and I also think about the people who just got the game and have no high level character to get the achievements and don’t like PvP or WvW like me.

I do like the log-in rewards though. That’s a nice touch. I just wish they would do something about the dailies so it’s available for low level and people who want to do PvE instead or PvP and WvW.

Please Stop Destroying Everything

I haven’t read all the post in this topic, but I think that one way to fix it is to make the destroyed zones instanced. For example for new players or alts Kessex Hills and Lion’s Arch could be normal until they completed the part in the Living Story Season 1 which destroyes those zones. I know season 1 can’t be replayed yet, but I read that Anet might do it in the future. I really don’t like seeing Lion’s Arch and Kessex Hills the way it is now. Whenever I’m playing an alt it just feels as if I lost a whole lot, even though I have played it on my main character.

Replaying old contents?

I both like and dislike the living world, but will we ever be able to play old contents again? That way the game is not just about leveling to level 80 and getting new skins for your character. You will be busy for a good while, whilst you are leveling up. I personally would love to see that.

Here is my norn warrior. I hit level 80 a few days ago. I don’t like the armor to be too extreme. Simple good looking armor is best in my opinion

The book icons, which are the trainers, are for the traits, not the slot skills. They cost a little, but you should be able to afford it. They are in the beginning area of your race.

The skill points, and the trait points, you can use by pressing H (default button) and then the Skills and Traits tab on the left. Press the Slot Skills and you can use your unspent skill points by pressing on the number on the pictures.

Are you talking about slot skills? You can learn all slot skills. You cannot get all the trait points, but that doesn’t have anything to do with shape-shifting. You can shape-shift to all the beasts. The only thing you need is enough skill points, which you will get more than enough of.

Rate the Norn Name Above You

Your names don’t quite fit norns, but since you’re making them resembling native americans I kinda like it. That’s the beauty of rpg. You can create your own little story in your mind. 7/10

I love the viking history and the norse mythology, which is why I made a norn. My norn is named Thorbjorn Bearheart. Thor is my favourite god, and a strong name in my opinion, and Bjorn means bear in nordic languages. My character is a strong warrior and his spirit guide is bear, hence Bearheart.
