This is a topic of the same thread… should have been merged like mine was.. dunno why this thread is still active since the dev posted a reply on the latter one.
To me it seems that that post mainly focuses on just the underwater problem, this seems like a different issue. Don’t know why the devs are only focusing on the underwater problem when it’s a problem as a whole.
The game is seriously unplayable if you have a potato for a computer. Can’t keep switching between native and subsample every so often, especially since all I do is PvP.
Why should you take fall damage when you haven’t fallen? It’s a teleport skill, not a movement skill (like Swoop or Ride the Lightning).
One, you DO take falling damage when jumping and using ride the lightning, and two, because it’s an exploit. It’s basically the same thing Necro’s could do with Spectral Walk, where you could use it at the last second before falling to receive no falling damage.
When using Judge’s Intervention from a really high place, or pretty much anywhere, whether it’s in PvE, PvP, or WvW, you can teleport to any enemy without taking fall damage. I’ve seen this happen in WvW to jump from cliffs and attack enemy players, and in PvP to get to the bottom part of Skyhammer. If no one knows what I’m talking about here’s a video demonstrating this exploit.
Same thing is happening to me. I thought it was just an issue for Mac though, apparently it isn’t. The only way to temporarily fix it is by changing the settings preset to Best Appearance and then back to Best Performance, or changing the render sampling from subsample to native and then back to subsample. It’s still an annoying issue if you’re constantly switching maps though, especially in PvP.

Take a look at tempest. Now Warriors, thiefs and eles can spin.
Dont see what you propose ever happening.
Spinning is not the same as coming back to life. When you see a warrior, ele, or thief spin you don’t care about it. But there’s a difference between letting a warrior die by itself in PvP per se after using Vengeance, and chasing down a player with Illusion of Life, since it can run to a team mate to res them (because it doesn’t kill them after it ends).
Has anyone noticed how Vengeance and Illusion of Life have the same effects?
Shouldn’t they at least have different aura colors in order to tell them apart? I remember they reworked the animations for Mist Form and Vapor Form in order to prevent confusion between them, so why not do the same for these skills?

I’ve had the same problem, especially in PvP. I try to blink to the most normal places (in front of me) and have gotten the “No Valid Path” message. By this time I’m freaking out because someone is chasing me and before I know it I’m dead.

I’ve been stuck at 99% in world completion for a while now, and the only points I’m missing are located in WvW towers and keeps that my world seems to never be able to get a hold of. But wouldn’t it be great if there was some sort of buff that arenanet sold at the gem store that gave you some kind of immunity for an hour or so in all wvw maps so that you could get all those poi’s and vistas you need? And while you’re under the effects of this buff you cannot claim any land or fight anyone? So it’s just used for roaming?
