So like the rest of you i am eagerly awaiting the new patch and hopefully some nice fixes and changs for our class.

Now my friends who I chat too on ventrillo everynight know i am eager for the patch and have heard me moaning on countless occasions about a ranger/pet bug…and knowing that and teh fact that i can’t check facts from work during working hours, they sent me a nice email this morning with the following leaked patch notes…

Game Update Notes – November 16, 2012

Professions

Ranger

We have worked hard to keep updates going on all professions and while there is more to come in an upcoming update, we hope the following changes will go some way towards satiating the concern of Rangers. One problem with Rangers was the lack of build diversity created by a number of sub par utility skills. Many signets, a shout or two, and spirits were all a bit lacklustre. That is the first place we have begun to make improvements. Second is trying to improve the feel/ pacing on some weapons.
• Long Bow Range reduced to 1200.
• Long Range Shot now deals consistent damage across all ranges, approximately the same as the current mid-range value (500-100).
• Short Bow Range reduced to 900.
• Axe Range reduced to 600.
• Slash, Slice and Power Stab deal approximately 20% more damage.
• Swoop is now single target, rather than area of effect.
• Troll Unguent and Heal as One now heals players for approximately 30% less while healing your pet for an additional 30%.
• Signet of Renewal will now cure conditions on your pet in addition to the player.
• Signet of the Hunt will now grant 30% increased movement speed to your pet, in addition to 10% on the player.
• Signet of the Wild will now regenerate an additional 30% health per tick for your pet, while regenerating 30% less for the player.
• Entangle duration increased to 180 seconds.
• Spirits will now follow the Ranger, rather than remain stationary.
• Spirits no longer disappear when entering water.
• Fixed a bug with Lick Wounds. Your pet should now attempt to revive the player more reliably.
• Fixed a bug with pet naming. Your pet will now remember it’s own name!
• Agility Training now gives your pet the correct 30% movement speed increase.

now its my lunch hour and i’ve been able to confirm that my “ex-friends” have had me going all morning

Lets hope the real patch notes include fixes and make us all happy rangers.

Cheers
