Guild Wars 2

Well it’s a antec 650w so I’m confident that’s ok. She does however have the super clocked edition 460. So like I posted above, what sliders should I be changing in nTune to try this solution out?

I will try to compile as much ‘evidence’ as I can and get it posted. Thanks a lot guys for the input, you make me think there is hope for her comp after all

Also she has a gtx 460. Like mentioned above, I rolled back drivers and made sure it was a clean install like suggested above, so already tried that.

So what exactly should I change?

There are two sliders, the core bus and mem bus. The core bus was already at the lowest slider option and the mem bus was at about 3/4 of the slider option (I just lowered it to the middle of the slider).

I swear I’m not a comp noob, just gpu/overclocking noob ^_

I will try this as my next fix. I’ve seen this mentioned here and there, so I’ll give it a shot (also heard that ppl tried this with no avail -_-).

Can you recommend a utility to easily downclock? (never OC’d or anything so I have no idea what would be best/easiest for this)

My wifes comp is going bonkers with GW2. Her screen totally locks up and turns grey/teal/tan or even just a freeze frame of the screen then has tons of green and pink lines all over (more often then not the screen goes grey). In the background you can just hear stuttering sound like “dddrrrddddrrrrrdddddrrrr”.

The only way to fix this is to hard restart. Some people have had freezes where they can ctrl+alt+delete or the game may go to desktop with an error, but she gets nothing. If you dont hard restart the screen will just sit there until the end of days.

I have been researching this for her for awhile now and I have heard of so many things ppl say fix freezes (a lot of times they post back saying nvm, it didnt work after all lol). I’m just totally at a loss here. I’ve tried:

-Rolled back drivers off of beta (306 i believe)
-Tried turning off vsync
-Set AA according to the sticky
- Dusted out PC (also checking for temps, they’re fine on max load)

This never happened to any other game before GW2. We were playing D3 like crazy before, never had a problem. I really want to hope it’s just something wonky with GW2 and it will get patched but I just don’t know what to do anymore

Anyone getting something like what I’m describing?
