So with the expansion Anet added AOE RESISTANCE to pets and minions in PVE this aoe resistance work by nullifying most of the incoming damage made by any aoe or cleave to the pet as long as the pet/minion is not the primary target. this was added to make them more viable in this aspect of the game since in high end pve, pets and minions would normally die before being of any use because of the constant aoe. but they didn’t add it in Pvp.

before expansion, the aoe and cleave damage that was already going on in pvp was incredibly high, making using pets or any kind of minion already difficult, but now?

every single one of the Elite specs is filled with a whole Kitten of Aoe and cleave, right now is imposible to have any kind of minion alive for longer than a couple of seconds without it dying to aoe.

dragon hunter’s traps and reaper’s shroud, are good examples of this, they don’t even need to pay attention to the ranger’s pet or any minion because they will naturally cleave them to death.

Plz anet i beg you, please add resistance to aoe for pets and minions, it doesn’t have to be as high as it is in pve, but this will open the doors for minion builds to see some light in pvp.

Disclaimer: i used Dragon hunter and Reaper only as examples, this thread is not in anyway asking for any kind of nerfs to either of this two specs or to any spec for that matter this thread sole purpose is to ask for a buff for pets and minions survival in pvp.

I am quite a new player, i just started playing the game three weeks ago, and i have mostly played Spvp.

I know officially i could join ranked spvp since i reached rank 20. but am i truly ready for it?

I would like to know some opinions from more veteran players because i dont want to enter ranked and be that girl that have to be carried all the match.

what things do you guys think i should do before i try to enter ranked?

i don’t know how to let others see my GW2 efficiency sheet, if i knew i would just link that but some of my pvp info is:

main class: Engineer
total matches played: 202
total winrate: 56.96%
engineer winrate: 69.74%
i have played a little of most the other classes but i don’t really like any.

I sadly only have one lvl80 character which ironically, is a ranger (pets are cute) i have two engineers with different builds, i swap around them while playing pvp. One Asura(condi build), one Sylvari(power build), neither is 80 yet because i am lazy u.u;

I just wanted to start this topic out of curiosity to know what other people have in their wish list for the future.
So, what weapon would you guys like to get for your class(es) when arena net decides to introduce the second round of elite specs? probably in the next expansion if we get one.

for me i would love to see rifle Ranger, just because i love rifles in game, i love Ranger; and there is not enough classes using rifles!

Main hand pistol Mesmer, the idea of a Mesmer gunslinger using dual pistols have always been hovering in my mind, and i think it would be cool.

And rifle thief, i imagine it would be sort of a stealthy sniper.

As you can see i am a big lover of rifles and pistols XD.
