I hope not. I’ve had enough asian themes with all these other mmos including the last WoW expansion.
Bring on the dwarves, I say! You can never have enough dwarves.
I have 16GB of ram, a 3GB high end video card, and a 4.6Ghz cpu. load-stuttering and fps is incredibly bad after the patch that was supposed to increase performance. I can only imagine how horrible the experience must be like for people with non-optimal setups.
At this point can we just request that the “performance” changes be reversed, because it was vastly better before the patch.
It’s a shame this “performance” patch went live right before the new trial began. I imagine a lot of people will be turned off by the poor performance of the game in it’s current state.

You could have stayed, tried your best, and actually learned something from the experience.
But you deliberately went afk during a rated match. They reported an afker.
I see no problem here.

I bought gw2 a while back but only started playing a week ago. My highest level character is 40-something and I just started leveling a new character. The first was made a bit before the changes and the second after the changes.
My feedback:
I’d prefer that the navigation compass (when set to only show map completion stuff) would point to the nearest completion POI, Vista, Waypoint instead of -heavily- favoring hearts.
I agree with some of the other people here that the interactive objects like feeding the cow food, pouring water on the fires, turning into a sylvari hound really gives gw2 a higher-quality feel from the start. If anything you could keep the simple click-to-win mechanic, yet give people the option to do it the fun way if they so choose.
As for the weapon skills changes I like the fact everything is unlocked right away, once you hit a certain level. However changing to a new weapon and having all the skills unlocked instantly could be a bit overwhelming for some players.
I don’t personally enjoy the new story mode unlock system. With the old system I could continue the story as I was adventuring in those areas, or follow the story into new areas. With the new system I have to backtrack into areas that feel outdated and irrelevant to my character.
As for the leveling rewards, I like the new system of getting something nice every-time you level.
I have also observed that there is much more stuttering. Could be due to a more aggressive caching style combined with a lack of ram.
I was level 16 standing on the skill challenge… talked to the guy and the object and it wouldn’t let me do anything. What level are all skill challenges unlocked?
Simply put the new compass tracker sends me to a skill point challenges that I cannot initiate. This is both frustrating and annoying. Please do not level gate skill challenges. Especially ones that are in an appropriately leveled zone.
I’m a new player and I would definitely recommend this game to someone who enjoys adventuring, exploring, and an overall immersive fantasy experience. I already feel like I’ve gotten more than my money’s worth so anything on top of this is just gravy.
Assuming my character name is Blu.
Typing “/me sits on the chair.”
Produces “Blu: Blu sits on the chair.”
Before the patch it would simply read:
“Blu sits on the chair.”
Hopefully this is an unintended bug and will be fixed shortly.
If you just want to click on the cow and win fine…. but at least leave people the option to do it the fun way..
This is just sad.
