I don’t know if this is a bug, but it was definitely working differently before and it works differently for sell listings.
When posting a buy order on the trading post, if you place an order and it overlaps with the lowest sell listing, rather than placing the rest of your order at the amount requested, it puts the rest into the next listing.
For example:
I want to order Mithril Ore at 40c each. If there are 20 listed at 40c, I can’t list 18,000 at 40 (a regular occurrence for me), I have to buy 20 at 40c before listing the remaining 17,980. If someone lists x amount of mithril at 40c before I can get a listing up (also an extremely common occurrence), I have to then buy that listing at 40c before putting my listing up, which is now 18,000 minus 20 minus x, and so on and so forth.
