Man this was a good fight, and I think if this week really meant a change in the league standing for us, I think we would have been a bit more focused, but as it is, we played hard maybe not as hard as we would have hoped, but SBI is not push over, that you will know!! when you deal with us you will have a fight on your hands. Hats off to FA, good work throwing it down all week but I think this league is too easy for you, I would have liked the competition to be a little less obvious. The issue last week with ebay and yaks left a very sour taste in SBI’s mouth, obviously, but it also meant that we were kitten ed off that weekend, heck we would have given Blackgate a good go at it that weekend. lol but like everyone knows Friday status is about coverage and SBI’s coverage seems to have declined big time, did we lose a guild at night, we used to be decent there. I am disappointed that my guild split up, we were one of those that made sbi very dangerous in the initial transferals, (DDLG). I don’t know about sbi burning though, I think we are just settling down and settling in. I think the Yak/Ebay thing really solidified the guilds a little. We’ll see, we’ll either be very good or right were we are now. but I don’t “foresee” SBI falling to bronze over this stuff

You know, I expected FA to start slow then let their night time coverage kickin. what the heck is going on over there, you guys bored of this league stuff already? I admit it doesn’t matter right now, you’ll still maintain first even if you decide to get the nightmare stuff knocked out en-masse. but eh Great fights thus far, though I expected more tougher tactics. I really liked watching the flanks you guys ran to wipe us at sbi. very nice. but thus far, not looking too good.

Well, thanks for the fun guys, YB, good sieging, your superiority over SBI realized, but like I said, what goes around comes around. this wasn’t a fair matchup, but who said life is fair SBI has a right to qq and kitten, it will pass though this is hilarious though. EB, you just got handed the pity jar.. take it and run with it we’ll get ya again don’t worry. just get prepared

Dear SBI you had to know this was coming sooner or later. No one knew what servers would do it or to what extent but you had to know someone was going to do this with all the arrogance and chest thumping yall have been doing. To be honest YB and EB are not close in fact we have a rather bad relationship between eachother at times. But when you play the superiority card so long your so easily hated and that overcomes the smaller rivalry’s between other servers. Just take note now that others have seen you get owned by other servers that weren’t previously 8 or better prior to leagues expect more resistance. Your unbreakable facade has been broken but everyone will see the cracks from now on and not be near as intimidated by it.

While we at SBI appreciate the picture attributed to our success as being superior, were really still learning a lot. there are a lot of area’s we need to shore up, and being as good as we are now, just means were going to get better as i’m sure all the servers will.
My only concern is that in some way shape or form, servers are going to believe this is the normal way to play is to group up on the larger server, while the current philosophy with server vs server has worked quite well for so long. Maybe I’m a little naïve, but I had not been accustomed to such tactics in the past 1.6 years of dedicated wvw, can someone enlighten me on this?

That is your opinion make it more believable by providing overwhelming amounts of proof. Until then please continue talking out of your kitten .

LOL, you may not like it, but lets just face that one fact and move on. group to group over all your not too bad, not too good. SBi is alittle better in many of the fights 20vs15, or 30 vs 20, whatever the chemistry of the groupage seemed to be, they just got ya there. But I stand by my post, YB is a whole lot better than SBI when it comes to using, deploying, and keeping siege in captured resources. and no matter what 2v1 and whatever, that little fact has tipped the scales of two pretty even servers, that and eb’s server philosophy thus far. Sure we have some good siege users, but we don’t have enough, sure we have a good keep tapper, but we don’t have enough. that may be true on a lot of the tier2 servers, but against the tactics displayed thus far, we at SBI have a little work to do still, that’s all, and so does YB in the open field stuff.

Look, the SBI blobs that people keep complaining about…… lets face it SBI’s easy going default tactic of “safety in numbers” didn’t work, it doesn’t work against shotgun tactics of FA or YB or anything higher and it’s not the people didn’t show up.;. they did. I was there people did show up…people didn’t stay, why because the blob wasn’t working even though we had the numbers and people were too afraid to attack because there was no safe way to do it. We have to come up with a better defensive strategy against the shotgun hits of these servers. we need to be able to identify when they are not working and switch tactics as commanders. now that’s tough, because there are too many different minds and times and idea’s in wvw, but this showed one thing, How committed the wvw community is on SBI. I cant speak for EB or YB. For SBI, the guilds need to step it up get your people geared up and on the basics. TS, should be basic, siege building and refreshing, we should not even still be relying on 3 people to refresh siege in all resources, siege placement and usage, guarding and protecting resources and telling all non grouped up enterees into a bl must sit in a tower for 10mins before they join a zerg. basics. All SBI newbees are “urged” to go through a commander training session. don’t miss them.

You know what…enough of this crap about YB being under populated. it’s BS, from this day forward. No more about not being able to field an overwhelming force. that’s BS too. Now what I give props to YB is in siege, they know how to siege up a house. SBI population doesn’t yet… and that’s where you all are killing SBI.. not in open field fights, Lets face it, YB is basic in Open field, SBI is better at it. No biggie, but when it comes to siege fighting, YB has SBI slaughtered, and when it comes to PPT, sieging up a place and keeping it sieged is key. so huge props to YB. The whole is EB and YB 2v1 on SBI…the blatant answer regardless of if many of the guilds or solo’ers on YB knew it or not.. is YES, general rule was EB doesn’t touch YB if engaged with SBI, and EB coordinated the attack against SBI either with knowledge or support from YB or not. What the heck does YB care if EB hills is taken? unless they are going to give it back to EB when they move on, and that happened a lot. So no more denying it, just stop, it was a great strategy. It worked for YB, not quite to EB’s expectation it seems. But you know what, karma is a B$%&h and what goes around comes around, comes with the territory, and it’s going to happen again and again. SBI We really need to educate people on where to place siege and empower people to use the siege that’s placed and to lay down siege when attacking enforced keeps. 60% of the fights we’ve had with YB showed our naivety with siege tactics

When about 15 of us flipped CD’s hills last night, no less then 80 SBI showed up to flip it themselves. Enough for a huge blob to roll into the lowlands camp and another huge blob to skip it and get straight for the hills gate.

I’m actually genuinely curious, what are SBI’s ques like in the evening? If you can que a map to get a single lone capture point (even if it is a keep) from 15 people, SBI’s players must be spending a whole ton of time twiddling their thumbs waiting to get onto a map. ANY map apparently.

Honestly the queues haven’t been too bad, We have a lot of wvw committed transfers, not just guys that came to sbi for an opportunity, but all these guilds play wvw, primary. this has accelerated the interest in the server of the older wvw guys and new ones. so your going to get a lot of under-equipped kittens for a bit until they get their legs. The “blobs” are the result of “single commander” and the usage of TeamSpeak making it easier to function. everyone gravitates to the easy way.
