My guess is that the tengu may be a playable species in the future. I would guess that the living world will lead to events that will finally draw the tengu into the conflict, and draw them out of isolation. When it comes to game play their home area is in a perfect spot right next to a starting area. Storyline wise it may be difficult, as they have almost always been isolated, something extreme would have to happen to make them cooperate on a similar scale as all the other species. If they did become a playable species I would hope that their animation is changed, because currently they share the same animations as charr.

Personally I really hope that the tengu do become a playable species. From story perspective they have so much unexplored territory, and from a game play perspective I just love to see and experience variety.

I personaly dont think it would be that difficult story wise, it would maybe have something to do with the destroyers wich are a major problem around the walls for the tengu.

Maybe the destroyers will become a major threath to tyria. making it a problem to all races including the tengu where it probaly all would start

My guess is they planned to make tengu a playable race at some point in the future. Before launch there was a lot more detail on the tengu and kodan than other non-playable races, especially their culture and society.

I think they planned to make tengu playable later and part of the introduction would be them opening up the Dominion of Winds, which is about the right size for a racial city and starter zone.

i think they did this because the tengu and kodan have a way more interesting lore then all the other lesser races

People who know the GW2 lore a little bit probaly know about the dominion of winds. Wich is the last existing city of the Tengu sarrounded by walls. But it is not possible to enter for outsiders. Is it possible that this place will ever become a explorable area in the game? And how would you guys think this would work out?
