Oh? Ok, you’re right. I checked that on the wiki. Silly me, I’ve always thought you could fill an armor with the same rune.

I’ve also a Minor Rune of Lyssa, which I’d like to apply to my Heritage Pants of Lyssa, which contain one Minor Rune of Lyssa (out of maximum two). However if I try to add them, I again get the dialogue stating that the existing upgrade will be destroyed.

I dare not apply my runes anymore. :/

I recently found the Strong Cabalist Gloves of Lyssa. It had four (empty) rune slots, of type Major Rune of Lyssa. I bought 4 Major Runes of Lyssa from the trading post. I’ve verified that the rune is the same that the item ‘requires’.

Yet when I try to apply the rune, it warns that the previous runes will be destroyed. If I do that, one rune from the stack of four runes I have vanishes, and the Strong Cabalist Gloves of Lyssa still has 0/4 Major Runes of Lyssa inserted. I’ve tried that twice, and twice lost a Major Rune of Lyssa to that item.

My character is level 40. The gloves require minumum level 39. They’re soulbound to my character. Please fix… I’d love to use those fully upgraded Strong Cabalist gloves of Lyssa.
