I realize this is mainly a thread about spirits, but since OP had to go all doom and gloom hyperbole, allow me to point out that Rangers have a 15 second water field they can use every 30 seconds. That’s 50% up time on the absolute best group-play combo field, one only available to Rangers, Elementalists, and Engineers, and which requires 0 sacrifice towards any spec for the Ranger. Tell me again how they have no useful group utility?

The combo just has terrible synergy. Sword’s sneak attack is the worst of the 4 weapons by a huge margin, negating the advantage of CnD, and the 3 skill does less damage than DD’s, while only having half the evade length (and a short root after the evade, to boot), without the AOE or bleed.

Thief S/D is without a doubt, collectively, the worst weapon set in the game ATM, even accounting for Ranger’s sword’s pointless autoattack leap. It’s outclassed in every way imaginable by S/P or D/D.
