The most heartbreaking nerf ever. Cliffdiving in the borderlands was what I looked forward to the most logging on in the evening.
By the way, that should get the point across about how useful DS is. The best use I had for it was wiping oput 100% of my lifeforce just to fall.
For me, the deathshroud overflow is the most disappointing change they ever made . Cliff-diving made my necro an effective roamer in WvW. I had a lot of fun soloing aroundthe borderlands and taking crazy risks. I need some time off from GW2 now.
If they reduce the cooldown on the Reanimator trait (a lot) then we might figure out some good MM options.
There’s a big difference between a 30-player zerg and a 30-player army. SoR coordinates very efficient armies in TS. There’s some excellent commanders on this server, and the leading guilds seem to recognize the long-term value of keeping the map chat positive and enthusiastic.
The large number of players scrambling over each other in the beginning is my favorite part. It’s total mayhem trying to get ahead of the pack so I can see but not jump off the side. I really like this event the way it is, and would enjoy a larger group of players even more.
Replace the word grind with having to work for “anything”. Character progression with reward is the most important part of these games.
If you don’t understand this component to online games, you just don’t get it.
Progression and reward is not that important to me, and perpetual progression is a deal-breaker. I am finished-product-oriented. I need to a have final set of maxed-out stats in sight to achieve and then be “done” with leveling and gearing up that character.
We were really lucky on SoR to have 3 or 4 super-close matches the first month. Today, though, it might be deja vu of this time last week against Yaks and GoM.
Being the underdog and struggling for a heroic comeback is so much fun, even if you totally fail. This is the part where SoS and CD are supposed to PUUUUSSSSHHHHH!
