Thanks to Gandara and Mileer’s for this, in my point of view, week of fair play and sportsmanship. I know that there were some black sheep around but I dont think that they represent the majority of their servers.

Tonight there wont be many structured action, so I wish you a happy holiday and perhaps we’ll meet again on the fields of glory next year.

I can assure you that we do not ally with Miller’s – and I think they feel same like you. In my point of view taking oppurtunities when the other to servers are fighting belongs to the game.

This week we really outnumbered the two of you, maybe because the x-mas-event wasnt as favoured on RS like it was on Millers and Gandara, maybe because we’ve been in front from the beginning, maybe because the population in general is higher on RS.

As we all know, it all comes down to mass in the end. You have some skilled guilds out there as we have. But in my opinion our “friendly zerglings” are much more integrated in organized battlegroups than I have seen it on your sides. We have many Tier 1 and 2 veterans, who know what they have to do, though they are not in a W3 guild. They in fact do know where the mortars are and where they can shoot with them, they know that speed is one key to victory and they know that giving any useful information is highly appreciated by us commanders.

I can just recommend that you shouldnt separate as W3-guild, but try to integrate the friendly zerglings. At the end of the day this game is not a question of skill. Its a question of how many guys I have around me and how am I able to lead them.

This week is so different from the last weeks against Piken, Baruch, Seafarers and the server formerly known as Miller’s Sound.

Gosh, we have Winter’s Day event, too, but it seems that you guys have more issues with this than we have. Or do you need a W3 break?

Would really appreciate some more good action.

As a player most of the time fighting on eternals I am a little bit disappointed by now. That Miller’s does not take eternals as #1 priority we did know from earlier matchups. But I’ve had the hope that Gandara would give us heavy fights out there.

Come on guys, bring your forces up. It aint over til the fat lady sings.

lol @ Wamgor. I feel with you – and the fish. I guess my riverside-comrades were just a little bit confused, seeing fishermen with frogs in one boat and so they decided to take a closer look on this strange scenery.

@Snowstorm:
The female norn commander is DTK Spring Teufel (the jumping devil). I by myself play a pigtailed sylvari thief commander, DTK Silva Del Rey. The two of us are jobsharing lead in eternals with the TIA guild, Lady Twixi (asura ele) and Steinid (charr warri). All we know we learned from DTK Edana Atreides, Primarch of DTK. Thats the guy who led us yesterday evening in PS BL. Always an honour to follow Edana.

Yeah, great move then. Thanks for the explanation. We’ve been a little bit too slow with the portal chain for the golems – needed just 30 secs more for garrison. ^^

Dont feel bad, luck often comes to the guys deserving it. Well done at bay and then a nice coincidence with the timer – result: win. ^^

Hills was really epic. ^^ At one point we thought everything was over, but then a bunch of our guys came back from spawn and made it through, so that we finally were able to push you out with some portal action. Lucky us that your raid was splitted, so that we were able to sweep the guys in front of the southern gate and afterwards could take the rest in front of the lordroom.

Was really, really fun. Unfortunately you seem to leave our bracket upwards. Kodash is a well organized server with a decent population and Deso is a former T1 server. Really, I donnt wanna change place with you, though I like the Kodashi. Good sportsmanship and fair play over there.

Seems that we will have to deal with Millers and the newcomers from Gandara. We’ll see how they will do. With Miller we’ve had some hard matches, they are always highly motivated when it comes to a fight between the two of us. Will be interesting again.

I wish you a nice friday, traditionally we dont show up anymore too much on the fields of glory the last day of the WvW-week. We, and I speak for DTK, really appreciated this weeks matchup. Perhaps we’ll see you again, somewhere, sometime…

Great evening action on pikes borderland this evening. Marvellous fights against BOON and PX, on the field and in the keeps.

One question though – how did you get back bay so quickly at about 10:00 pm? Would’ve been sad if you did it with portal abuse. That would give this great evening a bad taste. Doesnt matter anyway. Was great fun for us, DTK and FX.

Thank you for the sometimes really narrow battles – in my personal point of view we did a quite good job against the piken guild-squads.

Nice work this night Piken. Yesterday evening when I left the game at around 10 pm I couldnt have imagined this development.

We didnt have any problems to manhandle you guys on eternals all day long, except that little Klovan accident in the afternoon when we have been too late one minute. but I really took that personally and my mates and me kicked you back to your own keep and later we had there a kind of fun with some siege in front of the ruins.

On primetime til 10:00 pm we have always been leader of the scoreboard. And now I see that you must have been very busy. Unfortunately. ^^ But if you really were able to get on 10-20 golems twice, well, its well-deserved. Our nightshift must have had a kinda frustrating night. ^^ We will repair it, I guess. ^^

Hi there!

In my point of view the lack of WvW players on RS is simply due to all the small things that make WvW sometimes a frustrating experience. Culling is one thing. The siege-weapon limit another. Third thing is the lack of strategic aims, like the orbs were. Mix all this up with the usual player-movement to other games, than you have most of the reasons.

Lucky us, we have a solid base of WvW players and guilds, playing on a decent level. So I dont think that we “implode”. And I dont think that many players are going to other servers. Hey, we are Riverside, the best-hated german server. ^^ I dont think that we are going up in ranks, though. We will step down the ladder, step by step and I’m ok with this, as long as I have fun in WvW. And thats the case.

Thank you for your explanation, really appreciated it. Thanks for your time to write it down.

In some points i totally agree, e.g. our sometimes disappointing lack of moving forward.

Concerning the defense of structures in your corner I can only say that bored seefarers are really a mess. They usually show up when you need them at least. So they keep us porting and moving.

What in my point of view FSP has to improve is knowledge of environment and placement of siege weapons. Example: rams in front of Langor and Bravost, building up siege weapons within reach of cannons, no coverage of trebs and so on. Its really easy to get your stuff down.

I admit that there maybe are certain circumstances in the relationship between FSP and SFR that influence this matchup in our favour. But believe me, SFR does not really like RS at all. ^^

Thank you very much for this special kind of… attention… Some of my mates do in fact have a certain sense of humour, so please dont take it too serious, we are just having fun. And we dont want to be disrespectful. (Ok, at this point I have to admit how happy I am that A-Net didnt implement, ahem, “bad behaviour” emotes at all ).

DTK | Die Technokraten are usually fighting on Eternal BG. Its a kind of our living room. We really appreciate guests, but not in our corner, ok?

Unfortunately we, Riverside, do not have the manpower anymore to cover all the maps. Thats the main-reason why we lost rank by rank. I think we are not better or worse than most of the other servers concerning gameplay and tactics. We have to deal with the circumstance that we do not have many large guilds in WvW, so we have to build up new structures every day with the guys and girls being around on the fields.

I think were doing a good job this week. Our keeps and towers are upgraded as quick as possible, there are lots of siege weapons built to compensate the lack of manpower and I think we really know how to use our infrastructure.

We have nothing to complain about and nothing to be ashamed of. In my point of view, of course.

Why do you think that you did better than RS? Its always interesting to get an impression how our opponents see our strengths and weaknesses. I can only speak for Eternals, as thats our (DTK) main playground, and there I had the feeling that my commander-colleagues and I did a decent job. (Though we failed epical to take the green keep this forenoon and scrapped about 15 golems… ok ok, we have to improve our offensive skills… )

Just to let you know… This small sized leaf-pigtailed sylvari DTK lady-thief (yes, the one on the ground in the middle of your zerg – dont laugh, its all about scouting! Ahem.) with the friendly smile is Silva Del Rey. Glad to meet you.

Sorry for that, but you know how it is. Sportsmanship on the one hand, bloodlust on the other. Some guys set different priorities. JP ist WvW area and its pointless to complain about getting attacked there.

To be honest, I’ve always had much Kudos for the Seafarer’s Rest Server in WvW. And it won’t be changed by some bad mannered guys , having no clue what happened in the last months in our matches.

You ask how we did get into T3? Well, we fell out of T2. And how we did get there? Well, we fell out of T1. ^^

A small history lesson:

The first time RS and SFR met was in T2, week 42. It was a close match between the two of us, haha. Arborstone (Arbor… who? ^^ ) dominated and we’ve had to lick our wounds the after being defeated the fourth week in a row by a 24/7 server.

In week 43 we met in T3 again. BT won this matchup with 255k, SFR had 186k, RS had 171k. 5th week in a row being defeated by a “flavour of the month”-server.

Week 44, again RS vs SFR. RS 269k, SFR 164k. Lots of respect in our comm for “the pirates” as you were fighting very good, though most of the time outmanned. Kodash went 189k. In this week you earned your nickname “Piraten” which is used since now.

In week 45 we’ve been kitten by full-strength blacktide again in T2. The Red Guard punished every so little mistake and dominated us with their straight coordinated gameplay. Its been the toughest week I’ve ever had in WvW since i started playing. And I play longer than the here mentioned weeks. Even Elona wasnt able to counter this. And they’re quite good.

Finally in week 46 we met again SFR in T3. Thats been the nicest week I’ve had in WvW. Close matchup with Miller and SFR. You guys won 237k:195k. Miller went 178k.

Thats where we, Riverside, come from.

So this week SFR dominates. Lucky you. If you, and I mean you kitten, not the pirates out there, dont have any respect for our efforts to not give up, though we’ve been fightin’ all the T1/T2-flavour of the month servers for months and weeks, I wonder for whom you have any respect. Perhaps only for yourself.

And if you ask why we play defensively… well, just check our matchups of the last months. The Vizunah-, Far Shiver Peaks- (with NUG and the other guys), Arborstone-, Blacktide- and Elona-guys forced us to. Now we are quite good in defending our ground. Believe me, in T4 or lower we will learn again how to attack.

Sorry for this wall of text, but I felt to have to point out where we come from and who we are.

My respect to every FSP-fighter who comes to the battlefield. And my respect to you, Pirates. You, kitten, go home to mommy when you get gang kitten the first time by the really bad boys.
