I deleted one of my characters a couple of weeks ago. In world of warcraft (apologies for mentioning it) via a simple letter to a game master it was possible to restore a character even if it was deleted 6-8 months ago.
I’d like to know it the same thing is possible in GW2. Thanks in Advance.
Arvid, axe in my view is not meant to be a main weapon. I use staff as a main weapon for wells/death shroud build.
To start a fight against a group of mobs I use unholy feast +reaper’s touch. The cripple from axe allows me to gather distance and switch to my staff for marks. On the way I drop wells and finish with life transfer in death shroud. That combo always kills without much effort groups of 4-5 mobs. Axe—>Staff—>wells—>death shroud.
If I’m fighting against a single target and I don’t have enough life force the I switch to axe and use ghastly claws to finish off mobs.
In conclusion, axe is a secondary weapon that can be used as an opener or as a finisher
Axe is in fact an aoe weapon. Open with 12-15 seconds of retaliation, and carry on to do whatever you feel like doing. It is no different than dropping a well on a group of enemies, and we all love wells…
Axe is a fantastic weapon. With a power focused build you can jump into a group of 4-5 mobs and use unholy feast to gain 12-15 seconds of retaliation.
You have no idea how strong this skill is in such situations. The raw damage alone from unholy feast crits for over 1000 damage, and with 15 seconds of retaliation (with power ofc) it becomes a really hard hitting aoe spell.
With only 15 seconds cooldown and a bonus aoe cripple this spell stands in one line with our hard hitting wells. Besides, the combination with focus for the mass vulnerability only makes it more viable.
Hi idus, I haven’t done much WvW, but is it really a gold sink? I thought you could level up in WvW just as you level up in regular PvE with quest rewards and gear drops.
Ferment, I don’t think the majority of players is interested in playing all classes and getting many different gear sets. Personally, I’m not going to play anything at all other than my main.
But I guess you are right regarding WvW… upgrades or commander book can really make the difference between victory or defeat for a server.
Regarding my amount of gold… I’m broke, after buying all these exotics. But the fact is that I managed to buy them without doing anything other than selling crafting mats and getting quest rewards. Currently prices for exotics on TP are so low in comparison to the 60+ runs you need to do to get dungeon gear or 300k+ karma.
The thing is, that I don’t see a reason for me to bother with getting more gold.
For pve I simply have nothing else to do with it.
Okay, I’m whining. Got your share of coolness now Syn?
Once a person acquires a full exotic armor+trinkets+weapons set, there is nothing to do with gold. As it stands currently, it is possible to fully equip yourself with exotics at the cost of 40-50 gold from TP. Throw a few extra gold coins for bags and you’ve pretty much finished using gold.
Sure, there are travel costs, repair costs, dyes, bag slots… but that’s about it.
Personally, I don’t care about legendary weapons (some look plain ugly) and have no intention of ever getting one.
Alts don’t really benefit from the fortune of a high character because TP prices are so cheap that an alt can simply “rent” mastercraft gear for vendor like prices and later get rid of them. Karma gear is an option too.
Not whining or anything, but it seems like karma and gems killed the need for gold.
