Ya the last time I played a ranger i was in a mood for melee so I was running around with a greatsword bear smashing people but lol at low levels that doesnt always go so hot xD

Every 3 seconds Im coming out with a phrase, usually from another species and race, even sometimes phrases from Mad King Thorn. Its absolutely crazy.

Along with passive pets attacking and active ones not doing so, enormous raise in ping and drop in FPS as well as all the other problems, the camera patch has obviously affected some core code and no mistake.

Whoa wait.. is that why i kept hearing female asura voices playing my male asura? I thought i was just next to people at first but then it became kind of strange hearing it when i was the only one in my PS with no npc’s around.

Mesmer with greatsword and either staff to remain ranged or sword/focus for a melee option might be your best bet.

If you want something less squishy, maybe ranger.

So basically my mesmer is already the direction you would advise on going to huh. ty for that input.

So I have played GW2 off an on for awhile. My first 80 was a thief, then I had a necro at 44(recently deleted because human lol). I took a break for awhile then came back and got my 2nd 80 a charr mesmer(oh yes and he is beautiful) and shortly after I got a norn guardian to around 50ish.

So of course with all these ads an such I am pumped about HoT, mainly because WoD for wow is cool buuuuut its wow(i shouldnt have to elaborate). I decided I wanted to get myself reaquainted with the game. But I’d like to start a new toon. Of course with my old toons I have about 3-4 bday insta lvl 20 tokens to burn for that insta boost but here’s where I am standing at this moment in time.

I want a ranged class, one that can do well in both PvE and WvW. I am not preferably fond of classes that don’t have weapon swaps. Also on that note the engi tool kits just make me feel like im not doing anything( I am probably doing it very very wrong xD lol).
I already used one gift on an Engineer, but the class just seemed lack luster to me.
I thought about going with another Necro(I would be willing because Charr/Asura love > human) as well.. But blah I’m not here to tell you what I want, I am here for opinions.

Ranged Class with weapon swaps is basically what I am looking for.. Or if you think I should tough it out with my Engi, tell me why, or even show me why because I am here to ask you all.
