Can't use elite specializations in demo.

The elite spec tree can ONLY be slotted into the last talent tree. It’s by design. Try using the last tab in your spec tree.

It won’t let me do it because I don’t own HoT, which I was hoping to get a chance to use them out on the free weekend to help me decide if I plan to purchase HoT and PoFa :/

Did you check carefully? Because I can use HoT elite specialization as usually in this demo.

Edit: I didn’t read that you don’t posses HoT, then of course NOT, since HoT elite specs require you to own HoT.

Just seems like a bad or short-sighted design flaw of the demo. What’s the harm in letting me try them out on a demo character for the newest expansion? If anything it would help GW2 earn more money from me lol

Hi, so, I’m not sure if this was really intended or not, but I can’t use any of the HoT specializations with my demo characters. Yes, I do not have HoT, however, I was hoping I’d be able to try out the specializations without it, as this was going to help me decide if I wanted to shell out the cash for it. I know this demo is only supposed to be for the PoF content, but I think it’s a little silly I can’t try the elite specs for a demo character

Bad image when trying to install?

I download the game client and I run it; and I get Gw2.exe – Bad Image; and then it says C:\Users\Ryan\AppData\Local\Temp\PROPSYS.dll is either not designed to run on windows or it contains an error. However; this is the SECOND time I’ve tried to install the game; the first time this popped up, but I exited out of the screen; it continued to download, and finally it finished, and when I try to run it; I got this error: —> Crash <—
Exception: c0000005
Memory at address 00000000 could not be read
App: Gw2.exe

Flags: 0

Then, I tried the -repair thing to fix that, and it gave me this error:
*--> Crash <—*
Assertion: m_readOffset + m_readLength <= m_totalBytes
File: ..\..\..\Services\File3\FileArchive.cpp(1056)

So I believe these two errors to be tied to the fact that PROPSYS.dll is messed up, but I have NO idea how to fix it; and everytime I google this; no one else has trouble with PROPSYS.dll, it’s msimg32.dll or something. I am incredibly lost, and frustrated, and I do NOT want my money to go to waste. ANY help would be appreciated.
