Well it sounds great, but i still don’t think it matches necro’s dual HP bars. funny though, that they want what is primary a squishy class to constantly play at low hp to actually be a build. i think thats pretty ridiculous. I’m already currently on an auto-def build. So i’ll be using this. Problem is elixir S doesn’t stop condition dmg (maybe if you traited 409 it could help a lil) so sometimes i just die to condi while in the 25% one. i think it would go well with this. Use it (rush in) 25% hits regen/elixir S, if condi kills me i get AED. if not, my heal skills have recharged and i can cast it again.
It’ll fit well in my build.
Edit: makes me think i really do need to go celestial though.
Its not the worst weapon in our kits. I think the wrench is pretty friggin wasted space. Bombs aren’t what they used to be. Elixir gun(especially with 409 formula not applying to those elixirs) all this talk of support/heal builds getting attention makes me laugh.

I agree, they either need to be faster, or not throw up a red aoe circle until they are near the dmg area.
OR a 3rd option.
I think.. that a faster flight time and a lag on landing would be more appropriate. They would fly extremely quick to target, land and toss up a red aoe sign, then explode. requiring a dodge. If they could do the 3rd option with no increase in timing to damage then it would be a good change.
I can’t stand being on walls of a tower, tossing nades down on people to just see them walk around them. Even other aoe classes that have similar timing/function (see ele casts) while they toss up red aoe’s, they are FAR FAR larger. Having such a small aoe area, that telegraphs itself, it doesn’t even require dodging.
Other can argue all they like, our pistol and rifle are horrid on Direct damage, with a little splash damage.
Ele fire skill #1 on staff has about the same flight time. and causes splash damage. If the smaller nade skills like 1(small) 5(larger aoe zone) were split into auto/aoe that might be ok, but i think some might get mad about that. I still think that the aoe telegraph needs delayed, it not exactly a spell. They shouldn’t know unless they see it coming, just like fire ele 1. then bam! or a ‘oh crap dodge’ feeling. With Aoe’s the size of lava font, I just don’t see why the cast time is so long by comparison on the smaller nade skills.
They should make a grenade launcher instead lol. put it in our traits or something, so we can swap out to auto fired versions (tools, like ground targetted turret tossing)
That wiki said you can’t use the Deployable mortar… “Drops a mortar that behaves like a turret, therefore it cannot be used like a typical mortar.”
That is false. I used it yesterday. Its not just an auto-firing item. It might be hitting 1k at 80, but only on auto mode. Like i said 1/3 of HP in the <25 areas easily.
All the other complaints with out Elite are completely valid though. Especially the ones about buggy firing, and losing 2-5 types cause of it.
I think my biggest heartache with this is, why doesn’t our ‘turret’ autofire? Even then i’d be pretty poor Elite skill. I’d rather have the MRLS kit on my back or something.
Not trying to get the item nerfed, however, no item should give you access to an Elite skill from another class unless its event based (FT and such at boss fights/karka area type things, even the FT at karka area are different things altogether).
Its been like this for a while now. I know it hasn’t worked since I started engineer 3 months ago.
Agreed, I’ve always been upset about this 409 elixir. really removes the ability for a support build. They keep saying they are helping out support builds with the new patches, but the ones that are out there don’t work…
idk a guild mate had the item and showed it to me at fire ele fight.
my dmg on it was 179 as engie on skill 1. same as my elite. it matched up perfectly. His was 649… on 1 skill. THEN, i watched it to 1/3 of the health on a nearby mob on auto attack.
Also, Our elite mortar skill sucks.
There is a mortar item that you can get that gives you a mortar as well. AND IT AUTOFIRES. you can do this on another job and pretend to be a better engineer…
Yea An item that gives a better version of your elite skill. I just found it out, and I’m so mad. I bet that the only response it ‘oh well’ or removing the item from game, not fixing engie at all.
Rifle #1: Lowest damage of a 2 handed 3/4sec cast weapon. Boring appearance and doesn’t relate to any of the weapon’s other skills
Pistol#1: Lowest damage of all 1 handed 1/2sec cast and lowest bleed duration of all weapons in game.
Harpoon Gun #1: Not just lowest, but absolutely HORRIBLE damage for the longest underwater cast time for a primary weapon in the game. (warriors hit more damage on one of their 1/4 sec cast shots then we do on our 1sec cast shot! WT Kitten!) No option for a condition build to even attempt to use weapon. Projectile speed is EXTREMELY slow and doesn’t “home in” very well for being called homing Torpedo.
No wonder we feel FORCED to use kits, and at the sacrifice of utility slots ontop of it.
ANET, PLEASE fix our weapons!

So mortar, is barely as powerful as fiery GS but makes me immobile.
THEN you’ve really got the audacity to allow a consumable item in game that not only allows a Non-Engineer to use a mortar, BUT WHEN THEY AREN"T USING IT, IT AUTOFIRES the 1 skill! (1 hit from a power warrior does 4x the dmg, on 1 skill, and the auto targetting mortar does this same amount…. wonderful. My Elite mortar does not auto fire….)
Let me get this straight, I need to go do a quest and get a consumable to have my proper Elite skill?
Is Elite mortar skill supposed to auto fire? If thats true then its broken and the item is not.

this is part of what is wrong with this 21st century society and the mentality that everybody is a freaking winner even if you lost.I used to hate it in swtor when people that lost a battle ground complain on the forums because their reward was to low compared to the winners, I mean seriously you LOST be happy you got a consolation prize for losing !
go to a casino and bet some money, you lost, than demand some of the money back because everybody is a winner even if they lose, see what happens, I know real world example and all but seriously it does fit.

You really can’t call it a true competition if its not equal to begin with. If all numbers were equal and we still lost, then your comment would get a +1 from me and I’d keep moving to another topic in forum.
That is 40 potential ppt which is definitely small group centric, and hopefully since it has to be brought to a claimer it is not just completely luck based (IE it gives other servers a chance to find and kill the item carrier to take it for their own server).
Pretty sure that bloodlust already proved that server imbalance in wvw participation and coverage ability allows for more small groups in additon to zerg/blob rather than keeping them in a zerg/blob. sure. 30-40 are still running a zerg. but the larger servers are still running 5-10 man groups across the maps for every supply (even defending yaks into enemy garrisons).
While it sounds exciting, it really shouldn’t be possible unless you have overwhelming numbers. Adding a buff and more ppt to them would simply make the scores even more disparate.
The outnumbered buff wouldnt be so useless if the ‘numbered’ server didn’t have easy access to bloodlust, which is like stack another food all together. Blackgate has all 3 garrisons and stonemist atm… vs. 5/6 sos and mag servers (both lost a fair amount of guilds before s1, and more fairweathers than either would like to admit after getting stomped so much)
I think 2nd and 3rd should get buffs and make 1st work for it if the score gets crazy(i’m sure BG would complain, yet enjoy actually having people come onto the map to fight, so long as the buff wasn’t outrageous) or specifically designed around outnumbered % resulting in a buff. That does solve ‘very little’ but its a step in the right direction that can be made easier than a complete revamp of wvw, or server merging. Can’t say it wont help out until bloodlust is dropped in favor of outnumbered and see how it goes.

I realize its not a popular JP. but the “Not So Secret” JP ’gears" that move you forward through are bugged.
But its the gear is using a different skill(some sort of attack) rather than the normal ‘rocket boot/leaping’ type animation/action its supposed to.
You can come with an Ele partner with Lightning hammer and complete it… even the diving goggles (I want a 2nd achieve for that feat with hammer creativity lol)
I don’t think they are broken persay, as i’ve never seen a full zerg die, however… today we did all the south/central/north paths. all 3 sets. hurray. They died immediately upon leaving rally, i mean immediately. the scaling powered up the Wells that the subjugators used and they simply one shotted the npcs.
Anet, please give better AI to the Pact NPCs when you buff enemies… that’s just ridiculous. they should at least try to dodge out of that stuff rather than wait inside 10x stacks of wells. The new toxic have better AI than any green npc in the game!
Also, we can res the NPCs otw to rally, but not after?
You need like 30ish to do all the paths, if not far more (depending on abilities) and who doesn’t wanna finish balth?
Then scale down to <15 to prevent immediate npc death after rally waypoint.

Lets discourage server participation in one of the most important meta events… sweet.
Engineer is OP? too whom? they don’t even fit in the rock/paper/scissors. IF you remember the yearly stats, they are one of the least favored classes. So even when people try to decide on an alt, they don’t go, wow engie! thats a great idea.
Simply put, ele can put out clones that deal dmg, necro carries around tons of toys. but engineers ‘pets’ are so lame, all but 1(possibly 2) of the elite skills are completely worthless. If they nerf everyone for balance fine. but why are they finding new builds for the already ‘preferred’ damage classes when the least used classes lag even further behind as they ‘balance’ newly OP builds in already OP classes? A few (not all) of engie’s turrets should get slight nerfs ot dmg, and given mobility with tank treads or something. At least then, It’d make a little sense to have a turret build while running around.
P.S. That all being said screw the huge fail with chaos storm. So mad right now about wvw can’t even take a break to enjoy myself cause I’m still steaming. I feel angry and stupid that I bought gems yesterday now.
