Guild Wars 2

Well I recently started this game with 2 of my friends since we all got the game, and so far enjoying it very much. However, I’m wondering if certain servers are just dead/unpopulated compared to others? How do I know which servers are populated?

I am asking because I feel that the whole server population thing on the server browser is really lacking clarity and/or inaccurate since it says ALL servers are HIGH in population lol. Like I’m posting a Looking For Guild thread but NO ONE is playing on my server apparently. I’ve only seen maybe 5-6 people at max in one zone, which is quite depressing to say the least (especially in a MMORPG).

Anyways, hoping someone can answer/clarify on the whole situation as my friends and I are pondering on whether we should stay in the server Gate of Madness.

Is Gate of Madness dead?

I am currently playing my first character with 2 of my friends and wanted to find a guild focused primarily in PvE. We’re based in Gate of Madness server, and are all at around level 60-70 at the moment (after only 1-2 days). we’ve reached master in crafting (leatherworking/weaponsmithing/chef/jewel/tailor). I’ve reached Grandmaster on my tailor crafting earlier today.

I’m still learning but am learning fast, and in light of learning the game really quickly, I wanted to accelerate the process by getting me and my friends into an ACTIVE guild with PvE as a focus.
