Yes, we have tried in all the new maps, a few old ones and Lion’s Arch. There are no option to join them and they cant join me. I am wondering if somehow my status is stuck on invisible or something without it showing (did change it back and forth several times). It happend after using 64bit (tried running 32bit – and it didnt help).

Tried updating the client, relogging, different guild members and a ton of other things, there is no way for me to play with guildies

When joining guild or friends with the /join function I dont get the option to join them in their current map, making it impossible to play with my friends..

Hiya GW2 Community!

I just came back to GW2 and im looking for a guild. Used to be a “hardcore” raider in WoW, FF XIV: ARR, Rift and SW:TOR (Ill admit it, mainly WoW…).

These days I have a lot less time then I used to – wife, kids and job really steals so much time! But would still like to be part of a PvE and PvP community – im not that much into GW2 mechanics, havnt played since back around launch, but do have 5 lvl 80s I leveled back then. Mainly looking for a guild that wanna do the new PvE content and some WvW in HoT.

… are there any reason? Seems from people posts that GW2 now is extremely grindy (fractals), still have major issues with balance in WvW (theives etc) and no progression at all for pvp’ers (other then go do PvE for Fractal-stuff).

So, if its just the same game as 3 month ago – with more grinding – I wont borther.

I for one have not logged on to GW2 for almost 2 weeks.

The lack of progression really got to me – have 2 characters in full exotics – and the grind for legendary does not appeal to me. Doing the same easy stuff over and over for a new skin – no thanks.

Maybe GW2 appeals to more casual players – I liked to use alot of time developing one character and improve it. In GW2 I felt like I was “done” playing my character 2 weeks after hitting 80 when I had the armor skins and stats I wanted. Unfortunately I didnt find the content fun enough to replay the same stuff over and over for no rewards whatsoever.

People like progression, its human nature and unfortunately something that sometimes gets in the way of great ideas.

Anet like people to be equal at 80 and made access to the “top tier” gear easy – but the lack of progression means most people lose intrest fast.

Take WvW: If your server aint doing well, people stop playing it – there are no progression, so no point in playing – and so 90% of all match up ends up being over in a day leaving the battlegrounds nearly empthy for the last 6 days.

Spvp with no ranking system, progression and instant lvl 80 makes it feel more like LoL or other arena mini-games – and although the combat system is good, its not good enough to suport a linear none-progression system that has less actually progression then most modern FPS games.

PvE: After doing the dungeons a few time, I personally miss the trinity of healing/tank/dps – it becomes alot more about semi-exploiting (LoS, Resetting or whatever) to get the mobs down. Grinding Dungeons for gear require more runs the most MMO’s ive tried – and its only for looks.

So in short: No Progression (call it a carrot or whatever) might look good on papir, but in reality it gives people something to strive for in the game and keeps them interested. Even a casual like myself will – eventually – move on with nothing to strive for other then new skins…

This is a boring and lame thing to make people do if they wanna finish their Halloween achivement, I for one wont do it and as such kinda lost intrest in the game – again.

The only thing I use the buff for is leveling alts on 5min reset event in WvW area’s :p Just followed the huge stack of bots farming the event – easy exp and extra magic find – and you dont have to fight a pointless war against people who outnumber you, holds all the objectives and have crazy orb-buffs. Its just Anet way of telling us they dont care about WvW.

Already lost alot of friends who went back to DAoC (yes, it is still running) Aion, started Planetside2 Beta (even here there is more progression in PvP then GW2) and even had a few people we used to play Aion with who started playing WoW (and they never tried it before).

Need some sort of progression in WvW – I know that Anet likes the game to just be “fun” and no require any rewards for doing things, but im sorry to say the game is NOT fun enough in WvW to support such a system.

This would be great, alot of armor got clipping issues with different hair styles, let us change our hair to fit our fab armors!
