Welcome rB, EMP, and anyone else coming to Dragonbrand.

To those people people thinking that guilds are just flocking to DB because we’re winning, you clearly have never thought seriously about moving a guild. When you’re looking at a potential move you’re trying to see the future. And to put your guild in the best structural position. We can all look at the MOS site or leaderboards and see trends and predict future match-ups with great certainty.

DB is going up to Tier2, it will happen next week or the week afterwards. Kaineng(most likely) will drop to Tier3. All the new guilds coming to DB know this, they’ll have a week or two to get situated on DB, and then we’ll all face the uncertainty of Tier2 together.

Prior to this wave of transfers DB was beat fairly badly by FA and TC. Both of those servers have become stronger since DB last faced them. Will our new guilds give DB a chance to fight in Tier2 on an even footing? No one knows for sure yet. But it is sure going to make the next 4-6 weeks of WvW on Dragonbrand very interesting. And that is what WvW guilds are looking for, interesting(uncertain) match-ups where the winner is not known ahead of time(and the lag/queues are bearable).

To the YB and MAG commanders, do you think the earlier reset time helped your server more than the others in this match-up? I know that most NA DB guilds were fielding less numbers at reset, since many of our west coast players were still at school or work.

Not too sure about the reset time question, it seemed to be about the same although we were doing better overall. That could just be new tactics though.

Great battle at Bay Keep in Mag BL. Though we had out-manned with only about 15 of us Yak’s defending the Lord’s Room, we held off the 20-30 Baguma and the 30-ish some Bagon Brand for a good 10 or so minutes inside the inner keep. Oh, and you have NO idea how happy we were when Maguma finally decided to accept our invitation to come into Bay, we were literally begging you to come through the downed wall.

The thing about 3 way fights is it’s never “my 1 held off 2 servers!” it’s more “there were 3 servers so the attacking 2 played cautious”

Well Maguuma broke in first at north inner and were held of with our siege. then Dragon Brand broke down the south inner wall and begin pushing in, to which Maguuma pulled back to somewhere around their point of entry. Dragon Brand was pushed back twice (after their first push we rezzed the Keep Lord) before the managed to kill most of us off, after-which Mag moved back in to confront DB. At this time, the “Repel the Enemy Attackers” timer timed out and we all way-pointed back in, fought another good 5 minutes, which were probably the only moments of an all out free for all, before being wiped completely. So technically fending one server off at a time is still fending off two servers. Nonetheless, as my friend Famme stated above, it was a wonderfully fun battle that I’m sure was not only enjoyed by us Yak’s, but by DB and Mag as well.

Incredible fight! We were so excited for Mag to come in we made it rain siege blueprints. I’m pretty sure our bay defense gets better every reset, maybe it’ll be ten hours next time!

5 hours. It took us 5 hours to take this from Yaks, It cost them their BL but kitten did it give us a good time trying to take it.

Quick notes

We are a Social PvX guild that will be looking to be one of the top guilds in our server, Yak’s Bend. Our primary focus’s will be WvW and PvE with SPvP possibly coming in later on if enough interest is shown. Our voice comms is a password protected C3 channel for the time being. There are no language restrictions on our channel, although with that being said, personal insults towards others will not be tolerated.

About The Gathered and it’s members

The Gathered was originally formed on the Guildwars section of the Discussions app/website and has since started to branch out, with our own website and C3 channel, although it’s home is still on Discussions. The guild itself is based in the US, although there are members from other countries like New Zealand such as myself.

We need members that are prepared to co-operate in challenging situations (Dungeons, WvW sieges, etc.) while still being able to have fun and put together a winning strategy.

We fully understand that all of our members play GW2 for enjoyment, have lives outside of the game and sometimes need to take a break!

The Rule

Respect, respect, respect! Our members are from many ages, walks of life and places, so we expect all of our members to remember that while talking or playing with other people. This includes players outside of the guild as our reputation is determined by the interactions we have with anyone on the server!
