Guild Wars 2

Hello,
I am currently Seeking Guild to join that is very involved in Fractals and/or Raiding.
Current Characters.
Dyeslee (Charr) : 80 Condi Warrior – Full Viper ascended armor and Sword Torch / Longbow – 100% duration
Crafting: 500 armorsmith / weaponsmith

Ard Rhys Grianne (Human) : 80 Revenant – Fresh level 80 via Tomes / Crafting
Crafting: Huntsmans 425 / Artficing 141

Currently on Dragonbrand server.

My usual gaming times are as follows
Pacific Standard Time
Mon – Thurs: 8pm – 10ish pm
Friday 12:30pm – 4pm (if in town at Library on Laptop)
Friday 1:30pm – 5pm z(if home after work)
Sat 8:30am – 4pm
Sunday Varies on weekend plans

First of some Basic Info.
What I’m using currently:
windows 10 Home (x64)
Logitech M510 Wireless Mouse
Logitech Setpoint software with game profiler windows 10 64 bit

Now I have been trying to figure out how for the last cple weeks to get this software to finally work with my game and mouse. I have finally got it working and this info may help others that use the above software with their logitech mouse.
(Sorry no screenshots at this time)

THIS WILL REQUIRE YOUR GW2 TO BE SET AS ADMIN.
If you do not know how to do this Follow the below instructions that pertain to setting the Logitech Software as a guide to locate and set your GW2 as administrator as well..

After installation of the Logitech Setpoint Software and basic setup with your logitech mouse is done, You NEED to set the software to “RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR.”
To do this follow the below Instructions.
WARNING DOING SO MAY OR MAY NOT REQUIRE YOU TO HAVE TO START SETPOINT ON EACH BOOTUP OF YOUR PC.
(basically a simple shortcut on your desktop to double click, NOTHING scary)
1. Navigate to the Logitech software located in your windows Program list.
2. Right click software then choose properties (very bottom option) from the drop down list.
3. from default window popup. Bottom RIGHT Option. Select “Open File Location”
5. By Default the Setpoint.exe file will be auto highligted.
6. Right Click the Setpoint.exe File and select properties
7. New window pops up. Select Compatibility Tab.
8. Put a Checkmark in Bottom Box (Run this program as Administrator")
9. CLICK APPLY 1ST! THEN OK!!!
10. Close all windows pertaining to setpoint.
11. You may need to reboot and or close the Setpoint software in order for the administrator option to take affect.
(by Defualt will be located bottom right corner of taskbar near Date and time.
Right click the setpoint Icon. CHOOSE EXIT)

Now you want to set up a game profile to you GW2.
1. Open Logitech software
A. by default it will be a small blue icon located bottom right of your screen by your time clock. (hit the ^ arrow if its hidden in the group).
B. If not then browse to your program / app list to logitech / mouse and keyboard / mouse and keyboard settings.

2. Click on 4th tab down on Left side (looks like a mouse). Highlights as Advanced settings
A. SET CHECK IN BOX ON THIS WINDOW IF NOT ALREADY DONE SO BY DEFAULT!
B. Click the Configure button. New window will open.
C. Left side Under 1. Select Application Box. Click Add
D. Navigate to your GW2.exe File.
(By Default it should be located C:\Program Files (x86)\Guild Wars 2\Gw2-64.exe or follow below instructions to find the correct one if NOT the same as above….)

If you do NOT know how to find this READ BELOW.
a. Find your GW2 Shortcut on your desktop or in your program list
b. Right click the shortcut, select Properties at the bottom of the dropdown.
c. Select Open File Location.
d. THIS IS THE GW2 FILE YOU NEED.

E. Select the GW2 Exe that is correct for your PC, Select Open, then Hit OK Button Bottom Right Corner of current window.
F. VERY IMPORTANT. CLICK APPLY 1ST!!! Then OK.( This will Close the Logitech Sepoint Software) REOPEN SOFTWARE.
G. goto the 3RD TAB (looks like a Rook / highlights as “game mouse Settings”)
H. Select BOTH Game Detection Boxes.
I. Under Speed and Acceleration Set to Setpoint Implementaion / Check “Retain OS Settings”
This where ALOT of players have problems figuring out which to select/ not select.
GW2 Has its own Mouse Keyboard settings that have been set by the Game or yourself. THEREFORE all boxes under Game Mode Settings do NOT have to be checked. Unless you prefer otherwise.
CHECKING ANY OF THESE BOXES MAY OR MAY NOT INTERFERE WITH YOUR CURRENT GW2 GAME SETTINGS!

CLICK APPLY ONLY!
J. Go back to 4th Tab (mouse Icon) click Configure button.
K. set your Hotkeys to your mouse to your likings…

REMEMBER TO CLICK APPLY, then OK.
Close your Setpoint software. and for just for safeness.
Bottom Right corner by date and time, close the Setpoint. Restart setpoint via Desktop shortcut / program list
Ok as admin, start GW2 and set you keys in Game accordingly to the Keys you configured in you Logitech software.
TEST then enjoy..

First of all let me say hello to you all.. first time to officially post here..
I started playing at the end of july when i bought HoT when it was 1/2 price..
I leveled to 80 open world (crafting, hearts, events, Meta’s etc), Mostly in PS build as I leveled. I’ve only done a few Fractals, and a cple of dungeons when i was lvl 30ish.. since then rest is as i wrote above. So here is basic info on my Main char. Any tips / suggestions welcome.

Server – Dragonbrand
My Main char.
80 Charr Warrior (Condi PS build)
Crafting – Armorsmith – 500, Weaponsmith – 425ish?
Currently wearing Full exotic Viper, ascended
Trinkets: Sinister / viper mix (all currently +9 AR) Nothing in enrichment slot
both rings attuned.
Weapons – Exotic Viper Sword / Wild Abandon (ascended Torch) Viper / Exotic Viper Longbow
Sup. Zerker runes on armor..
Sup. Malice / Bursting on weps

I too as the OP was wondering same thing. I have collected bout 80% of the materials i need to start crafting a full ascended armor set so that I might look into raiding soon.
I currently have 3 guild slots avail as well and looking for any Raid style guild that would have me so that I can start learning the mechanics of them.

Any good theorycrafting on this subject, comparison of Condi PS vs. Power PS would be appreciated by me and many others who are reaching the critical stage of what to make for thier first ascended armor set would be great.
Any Youtube videos that share / tut, / walkthroughs of the Raid links would be greatly appreciated.. (prefered videos with actual people talking, popup text etc.. helpful.. not just a bunch of loud music)

I have read and talked to many players and I hear 50 / 50 on this subject.. Condi is better / Zerker PS is better.. I would like to see more info and factual intel on this subject so i can decide what I will be making in the near future…

Hello to you all,
I purchased HoT, back in July when it was on sale.. Since then I get a cple hours a nite of gametime after a LOOONG day of work so my game time is small except for the weekends.
My basic info to help with my questions..

I have been level 80 for a cple weeks (leveled up in open world content, cple fractals at lvl 30ish, and Crafting.)
Class: Warrior
Condi: Sword/torch, LB.
In Process of making Exotic Sinister Set
Armorsmithing (close to 400). Weaponsmithing (approx 175?)
have recipes for Sinister Exotic, and the insignia from Silverwastes.
Starting to build up various currencies from the HoT zones (Mainly VB and AB)
Working on unlocking masteries (Have Gliding some Itzel Lore)
Still currently in process of HoT story line

So with that Said…
I am interesting in starting to acquire ascended Trinkets / Items to be able to start doing higher end Fractals, dungeons etc..
I do not know where to start for beginner stages of this process.. Yes i have been reading the Wiki for cple weeks now.. so many different ones with SOOO many different ways…
But as many know.. its better from a players view that has knowledge, ideas, and or options of what would be considered easier, smarter, or just the right way to go about this process.. So if any of you that would have a good suggestion on where to start my adventure of acquiring ascended trinkets (at least to start building up this AR thing) so that i may be able to further experience GW2 at a higher degree then my current gaming, would be greatly appreciated..
