Of course I’ve played WoW, but to me that didn’t feel like much of a grind, 1 – 90 is so easy, plus the game is mainly about end game content. Quests keep you occupied where as gw2 doesn’t really tell you to do anything, just puts you in the world and says do your own thing, I like that but at the same time its boring me.

But back to GW2, thanks for your reply Fortus, I think i’m going to give it another shot and just stop expecting too much from the game and just try to get into it instead of thinking about the cons.

Hi guys, I used to play guild wars 1 for years and completely loved the game and when sadly it died I was pretty gutted.

When I heard guild wars 2 was going to be released I couldn’t wait but because I had a bad laptop I couldn’t run the game. Finally 2 days ago I bought a new gaming Pc and guild wars 2 was the first game I went and purchased.

My question is, do people ever party up? I’ve been running round the maps doing solo and not going to lie, I’m rather bored already.. It seems to me as if GW2 is just a big grind, I ask the map chat if anyone wants to party up to do stuff but never get a reply..

I really want to continue playing just because of my love for GW1 but the grind feeling is just pushing me away plus I always feel I’m stopped from progressing because of my level, quite often I’ve found myself too low for the main story and can find no other things to do and try to ask people but again get no reply.

I’m just wondering if there’s any reason why no one parties up and this game just purely solo? Is the game one big grind or does it get better as you progress? Am I playing the game wrong?

Any answers are appreciated, I just really don’t want to quit a game, when I loved its predecessor so much!
