While we’re on the topic, can we talk about your hatred of trees? Both this and the recent ‘reasons to return’ email (which I thank you for, I’d totally forgotten amidst failing hardware shortly after burning out for a bit!) had ridiculous amounts of white space. I mean, look at this! http://pastebin.com/kxU7kisQ
The mystic forge conduit is DIRECTLY counter to that assertion. It was basically only available to people who rushed through to farm late-game areas ASAP rather than taking their time and having fun. And now I’ll never get one, despite the fact that it has mechanical advantages not available elsewhere.
That’s what players in a certain other game thought when they found a way into the old part of a certain city. That’s why I want Anet clarification.
When I got to the house in Divinity’s Reach, I was trying to get onto a balcony that happened to be phantom, then decided to go as far as I could on the roofs I fell onto.
On twitter they suggested using ‘spam’.
I’ve enjoyed jumping around in GW2 quite a bit. Perhaps a little more than was expected. I’ve gotten into areas that pretty clearly weren’t intended to be accessible, like a house in Divinity’s Reach that has no interior model. None of these involved game exploits, at least not that I know of, just clever jumping.
Is going ‘out of bounds’ bannable in GW2? I mean, if you’re doing it in PvP to gain an advantage is one thing, but doing it in PvE doesn’t benefit you and if you’re not in a city actually COSTS you, assuming you want to get out.
IMO it shouldn’t be (unless it lets you get things you shouldn’t or attack other players in ways you shouldn’t), but certain other game companies have disagreed in the past, so I’d really like clarification.
I have been thinking about redecorating. Maybe a nice fur rug?
