I reported something similar a couple days back. I used the Gift of Quartz while inside the Colossal Fractal (that was where I was when I got it), but nothing in my home instance.

I’ve been working on my Bazaar of the Four Winds achievements.

I got the kite in the Colossal Fractal, and this was also my 16th achievement for the meta achievement “Bazaar Ambassador”, so while I was still in the fractal, I was awarded the chest with the Gift of Quartz. I opened the chest then used the Gift (also while still in the Fractal) and it disappeared. However, no Personal Quartz Node is in my home instance. I scoured all 5 home instances, including with race appropriate characters. I’ve restarted the client. I definitely used the gift, and I definiately checked every inch of my home instance (and also stared at minimap looking for mining icon).

The only thing I can think of is using the Gift of Quartz while inside the fractal caused it to bug out.

I have filed a support ticket and also did an in-game /bug report at the request of a GM.

This is fantastic, even with the (now fixed I believe) frog bug. Loving every second.

Even killing yourself and using a continue coin will not help. He remains untargetable.

I am having the same experience, in solo infantile mode. Once his life is all the way down, he can no longer be targeted. Not sure what to do.
