so ive been sitting on a a bunch of footage from the past 3 months, crammed as much of it as i could into a video for pure entertainment purpose and maybe a little bit of recruiting purposes to try to find like minded players. we are ex DAoC 8 man with 3 of us left. been bouncing around trying things out and pugging.

-first time editing

-wanted to delete recordings off pc

-pretty much all thief play is pre-december(went threw a dancing dagger phase lol)

-anywhere from duo to 10 man bomb groups. (pugs so a little sloppy but fun)

I feel you. When we moved up to T2, you have no idea how happy I was to be red, simply so that we started in a different position than green!

Anyone here from the ABSTRACT [BAMF] Guild? I just want to know why it is you guys keep jumping servers, I saw you in the last couple months playing for Yaks Bend, Then CD and now Blackgate…..

I informed our fearless leader of this post. More or less a small group of old DAOC players trying new servers out looking for some small man guilds to run with before they eliminate free Xfers.

simple answer is in the beginning alot of our first choice servers had 2-4 hour WvW Que times. there is only 3 of us and we wanted to play together so we bounced around trying to find servers with at least 1 map with no Que time. now that the WvW Ques are basically gone or atleast 1-2 maps with no Que times we have been testing out a couple servers to see if we can find any people that run around solo or are interested in running a group of 5-10 people roaming around ganking.

we are an ex DAoC 8 man guild from mid lance / hib Merlin, only a few of us left. we are now trying to expand a bit and get into bombing (coordinated AoE)
currently looking for Elementalist and 1-2 good mesmer. those 2 classes our are main search but i will not turn down a really good player regardless of class due to every class having some sort of AoE capabilities. we are trying to build between 10-15 people to have a steady group of 5-10 running at night.

more then welcome to come try us out. might as well take advantage of the free xfers…

due to holidays there isnt anything 100% steady atm. but with holidays ending things should get back to normal and should have a steady group most the week.

[AbsTraCt] is an old DAoC 8 man guild with few members left and we have just been pugging players in WvW and have decided to try to find a few like minded players to run a steady 10 man group in WvW

- main focus is roaming open field fights
- coordinated AoE on doors and zergs (bomb)
-if lack of small man action will help push a zerg fight or hit it from behind
-take supply camps to draw in fights.
-defend our points owned ( stack AoE on doors )

do not have any definitive play times set yet, it is US prime time. id say anywhere from 6pm pst till we get bored or log.

do not require you to represent the guild 100% of the time. would be preferred but really just trying to build up a list of people that like small man roaming in WvW that i can pull from and make groups.

accepting all classes at the moment.

if people leave the game cause they dont have a title to gain… in my eyes they dont belong in WvW to start with cause its not their style of play…

it would force a spread of population and new servers to be opened up for the sole purpose of WvW… i still think the PvE side of the game shoulda all been connected.. just 1 main pve map then just over 2 over 3 and so on… and you can pick which one you want to play on if you have a friend on it.. sooner or later and it happens now middle zones are desolate… so you take the 5 people in the middle zones on each server and you now have a healthy pve map for the middle zones.. will onyl get worse with time… on the pve side that is.

more reason for matchup to be on a 48 hour reset

Q is a random lotto so to say it is short for you is total random.. and SoR had atleast 1 map with no Q last week during the week.. problem as stated is cant play with friends on a weekend… probably on any server, and if i knew for a fact there was no wait on a friday sat night on a particular server that wasn’t being spawn camped. id gladly xfer..

what a joke… “culling” is on the top of their list? not the fact that half their population cant even participate in WvW on the weekend?

think id place the Q issue at the top of my list. we all know its a random lotto and not a line like it should be. so that fix #1… #2 is add what # in line i am. so if i Q for Eternal BG and see im 245th in line ill know i have some time.. or if i Q for a borderland map and see im 25th in line i know ill get a pop soon enough and not to afk for long.

bottom line is WvW match reset should be on a Wednesday not a friday night and force a mass Q, that should be MMO 101, ( never start something on a weekend in the middle of NA primtime on a NA server..)
either way the 1 week match up is bad. will never work even when the servers are locked and “balanced” out. due to 24/7 scoring 1 side will always pull ahead by monday or tuesday even if balanced out cause its a NA server with Euro/ oceanic presence on some not others.

WvW matchups should reset every 48 hours and scoring should be done secretly by Anet. even if not 48 hour matchups is still better cause it give casual pvpers more chances to participate in WvW.. the casual pvper is not gonna WvW after monday night when 1 servers oceanic/euro pressence has pulled them far ahead.

i have a 5 man guild and we cant all get in the same WvW map to play together on a weekend. and everyones play times are random during the week so weekends are when we expect to play together and Anets current WvW Q system makes it impossible.

give me an Eternal Battle ground overflow map. with all the people Q’ed in our current WvW matchup.. so keep it SoR vs CD vs SoS, obviously dont count the score, ( personally i could care less about score cause i play for “FUN” something Anet advertised but has greatly lost site of… miss the old school MMO’s like DAoC where people played for fun and fought each other for FUN and trash talk rights… not to see a number tic at the top of their screen.

(EDIT) not to mention if i do get in a WvW map. god forbid i DC cause there is not grace period to log back in… only happen to me once have a pretty solid connection. but im sure this happens to plenty of people out there.
