A lot of guilds already ask you to only represent theirs, or they boot you, so that’s really a non issue here.
It’s not cliche, its just the easiest dungeon to get tokens. Quick runs, even with a pug, well usually. And with the apparent decrease in drop rate of Fine Transmutation stones, people aren’t going to waste them transmuting a set of gear for an alt.
