That seems to have fixed it for me as well.

Interestingly, I tried again and this time just shifted the error message out of the way and kept on playing (in borderless fullscreen mode). Everything still seemed to work fine until I tried to change zones, then the game actually stopped responding.

Same problems, crashing every ~10 minutes.
