Ok so when heart of throns came out I quit GW2 cos I thought all there was was group events. However I think I was wrong

you see what I loved about the orginal GW2 was doing hearts at my own pace while waiting for events and joining them if there was a group however I really like soloing and everything in the jungle kills me.

so I ask is there a lot of solo stuff to do on the open map if you can you tell me what it is so I can get back to enjoying a game I really like.

thanks a lot in advance

why did you remove hearts

I know everyone is going to disagree with me on this but I have to say my peace

removing hearts from HOTs was the biggest mistake by far on so many levels. I really miss them as they were good solo play while waiting for events

I don’t want to play HOT cos they aren’t in it

Hey arena net

Big fan of guild wars 2 here. I just have some advise for you

Grats on the expansion

However
1. Don’t wait so long for the next expansion. Don’t wait till the player base screams at you for one you should be leading the way.

2. I Think “Raids” are a good idea However what your getting from our community is what they know. Let me give you an example. No one saw your style of gameplay for an mmo coming. No one could imagine it cos they didn’t know any other way apart from what they’ve been schooled on.

Now as a developer that’s the pay off from experiments. If they player base like’s your experiment your seen as innovative if it fails like FFXIV the player base will tell you to go back to tried and tested methods they know ( note: not nesscaryily what they like or it even might be something they are bored of).

Hence it is very important to get it right first time. I suggest a simple low risk solution but this is a mute point cos you probably already have it developed with no time to change.

However if I were you I would go down the path of elderscrolls Zone raids with your style of gameplay. Or if elderscrolls makes you want to puke think the raid zones of FFXI.

You know we love your game play style. So for a raid make a map. (smaller than a normal one and instanced but still loads bigger than a dungeon). This gives multiple way to approach the problem while still needing lots of people due to zone mechanics which could involve splitting the raid to go in different directions to forfill timed objectives before interacting at the final boss.

Again this could be woven with your brilliant game play story telling.

This is how I think raids should be done in this game. Yes I know it’s too late. However this is the most dynamic low risk way to get a near 100% success rate on new group content.

it’s been 2 years mate. if they haven’t fleshed them out more by now they aren’t going to flesh them out anymore. you want them to take 5 years to flesh out the classes we have now.

We need some new blood a new mechanic.

Simple. you’ve been out for coming up to 2 years now. It’s about time for another class. simple. yes you update frequently. I really do admire that but people need a reason to come back and a new fresh class will give them that.

May I suggest the Sycthe wielding class from night fall. please XD thanks
