Just got this boss, and it was my first time having a group that literally couldn’t do it. After doing this boss so many times, and now seeing what OP is talking about I still agree with the “L2P” ppl. The only reason this boss isn’t doable is if the group is not paying attention (which was the case of my group just now).
They absolutely could not for the life of them dodge the red circles and stand next to the bucket drop. It’s a very simple thing to do but if you can’t bring yourself to pay attention then this boss will beat you every time guaranteed. Not because it’s hard, but because you aren’t paying attention. For those crying it’s too hard I say: Learn the mechanics, give it some practice, and for the love of almighty God (or whatever you worship) please learn to dodge the red circles. Anyway, that’s my 2 cents.
Yup, I’m 0/4 for my ring so far. Had a guy in my group earlier who got his 5th one. WTB a blessing from the RNG gods plz.
Very recently (past few days) I’ve been zoning into places and I come in dead. First time is happened was about 3 days ago when I zoned into the ice fractal and was lying on the ground dead. The loading screen did not take so long as for the condition to kill me. I simply zoned in dead. I chalked it up to just a freak bug at the time and ignored it.
However, tonight after logging in. Again I found my character dead, this time in the middle of Lion’s Arch. I’m curious as to whether or not this is happening to anyone else? As I mentioned before, this is a very recent problem and it only happens after loading into a new zone or logging in (ie. follows a loading screen).
Can’t say for sure, but I don’t think an Intel chip could run GW2 at medium to high settings with such a decent FPS. Is there a way to check which one the game is using?
Also, strangely enough this problem hasn’t happened today. I’ve been playing the game for most of the day and it hasn’t frozen up once. The only thing I did different was download and install a couple of Windows updates. Aside from that I haven’t done anything else to my computer.
Ah, ok. Thanks Jaryd. I just added it to my shortcut. I guess I’ll go play the gamenow until it crashes to get a log file haha.
Alright, thanks Squall. I made a new thread called “Computer freezing up” for specifically my problem. Good luck to OP, seems he has a different problem than mine.
So I posted in another thread and was recommended to make a new one with my problem specifically. Anyway, since a recent patch a couple of weeks ago my laptop freezes up at various times while playing GW2 and a very loud buzzing(?) sound goes off. I’m forced to hard reset my laptop in order to fix this. Except for this problem I can run the game at medium-high graphics specs with decent FPS until this happens randomly.
There is no ArenaNet.log in my documents folder so I can’t post any crash logs. Was suggested in another thread that I may have a hardware issue. I did attach the text file that was generated from the GameAdvisor program offered by AN (has my hardware specs written inside). This has been a fairly recent problem and only happens when playing GW2.

There is no ArenaNet.log file. Just a Local.dat file. I even tried doing a search in explorer in my whole drive and it couldn’t find the file. It seems like my game isn’t making logs after it freezes and I’m forced to reset.
This may be a stupid question, but where can I find the crash log? I don’t get any errors or anything when this happens. The game simply freezes up and a loud annoying noise goes off before I’m forced to do a hard reset. Anyway, i digress, where can I find the crash logs again?
I’m also having this problem. At varying intervals after starting the game it just suddenly freezes up and I have to hard reset my computer. It’s sudden too, and happens at random times. I’m getting decent frame rates and haven’t had this problem until fairly recently.
I understand without giving more technical information it’s hard to assess the problem. So if anyone thinks they can help, let me know what kind of information is needed (and possibly how to get said info). Thanks in advance.
