Some of this might already have been posted, so if it has, let this post add emphasis to those ideas.

The rewards are pretty low. First, you should get gold/karma/experience from events. I don’t think that should ever be turned off for any event.

Second, I would kind of think that in terms of the rewards you can buy, people who spend 16+ hours a day all weekend should be able to buy quite a few of the best rewards, and casual people who only put in a few hours a day should be able to buy just one or two. You have to grind all weekend to buy one or two, and without any other rewards, it just doesn’t feel like a lot.

The tag-and-go mentality isn’t fun either. In order to get 20+ stacks it is impossible to stay at each event until completion. How about better rewards in terms of blooms for better participation? 1 stack for bronze, 2 stacks for silver, 3 stacks for gold?

Better yet, the tiered reward system deters participation as well. When people feel they can’t hit the next level, they stop playing because they won’t get any more rewards. Some folks stop at 5, some at 10, and a lot stop at 20. Why not just give 1 bloom for every event completed? It would mean a little more blooms going out than maybe was planned, but the rewards are a bit too low anyways.

LF NA Guild LateNight/Oceanic Dungeons

Most of the info is in the title. I’m not new to dungeons in MMOs, but I am new to GW2 dungeons (only done AC story mode so far).

I play in the middle of the night (after 1am EST) so I need a guild with a strong late-night following.

I am on the JQ server if that matters.

What I am really hoping for is a lot of dungeon running (of all the dungeons, not just fractals). I’m not so hardcore that I think I’ll be good enough for a speed clear guild, but I’m also not so casual that I want to RP my way through a dungeon. So somewhere in the middle ground is the goal.

I have one of every class to level 80. I also have a master crafter of all professions so I have plenty decent gear. I plan to start with a warrior since that seems to be the go-to for making dungeons easy, but once I know the instances I can fill other roles as need be. I’m also open to guidance about builds/tactics as I’m getting my information from GW2Meta right now.

Message me here or in-game, either is fine.

Thanks for reading.

Dungeon Mentors [Noob] v2.0

I would like to join as a student. NA warrior.

I’m new to GW2 dungeons, but not new to MMOs or dungeons in general. I don’t think I need a lot of help, but I would like to learn the instances before I try running with a normal dungeon group.

I play almost exclusively in the middle of the night (after 1am EST) so I don’t know which mentors are on at such a time, but my goal is to learn all of the regular dungeons and fractals so anyone who is on and willing is fine by me.

Thanks.

I think you’d be surprised at what people consider too long and then refuse to read.

EotM Overgrowth Stacked to Win

in WvW

I know there are a lot of posts about how unfair WvW can be and how OG always has the big numbers, but I wanted to point out some important facts that I haven’t seen mentioned.

If you look at the current match ups, the top ranked server in each match up is Green (except for Tarnished Coast, I guess they did realize that pairing BG and TC would be a bit much). And if you look at current server populations and compare them to rankings, that also puts full servers in Green and less full servers in other colors, so there is a direct tie between server populations and their WvW rating.

Since ANet picks the colors, they really need to spread out the populations better to make EotM a better experience for everyone, even Green. Now for the tl:dr portion of the post.

I’ve been in all the different colors during all the different times of the day, and I’ve frequently had trouble finding someone to Command in Red and Blue, and even with a Commander those colors rarely win a fight against the numbers that Green runs with almost all of the time.

When I have been on the Green team, it is very nice being able to take objectives without difficulty, and for a while it is nice to win fights against the enemy zerg. However, it isn’t much fun to win when your group has 40+ vs their meager 15. And I have even on multiple occasions been on the Green team when we controlled the entire map. That has never even come close to happening as Red or Blue. Once everything is obtained, there isn’t much to do.

tl;dr over.

So please just spread out the top tier / heavy population servers around the different colors and make a more balanced EotM so that all the teams can have a decent shot at accomplishing something without getting steam rolled. I understand that in regular WvW, servers fill themselves up to have the bigger numbers in their tiers, but you, ANet, are making these tiers, and it seems as though you are intentionally making one sided fights.
