Unlocking elite specs by playing wouldn’t be half as bad if some specs like Druid wouldn’t have nothing in common with the base line profession.
I might be wrong, but what does a Ranger bring to be considered as base line healer?
So if I want to play the new healer, do I really have to start a boring Ranger first and push myself through stuff I don’t really want to do at all?
Same with Necromancer, I would try out the Reaper, but Necro was always way to unappealing to me.
I have nearly all professions leveled up to 80. And some of them didn’t seem to be as much fun as others, with the new elite specs I would try them again, but using their boring gameplay first to unlock something that maybe will be fun, seems to be quite off.
Testing the elite spec. in PvP would show me what about playing that style in group content // open world?
I mean I don’t care about the “fluff” like unlocking runes, skins and what not. Make that a million hero points! But let everyone be able to unlock the base spec fast enough.
And for all those guys that are claiming “elite spec is the natural progression for my profession”, maybe you are all playing Warriors and don’t care at all? But really tell me my Druid example, that the base profession has nothing in common with the elite one and that this is an issue doesn’t apply! I have seen Guardian and Elementalist healers, even Warrior ones, but a Ranger healer? Does that really exist?
I got the boots this time.
If I hadn’t got the other ones twice in a row I wouldn’t even have got suspicious that it might be a bug or false recipe.
I got all the other set items by using the recipe.
And then I got the wrong boots, twice.
So it is random after all?
Hi,
I want to complete my Seer set and just tried to craft the boots.

I tried it twice, but always got the PvP Armageddon Boots:

Does anyone knows if the recipes are switched by accident and if I get the Seer boots when I craft the other ones?
I don’t get why people are so upset about this:
1. For world PvE do you need max stat gear? Probably not.
2. For explorable mode dungeons do you need max stat gear to beat them? Probably not.
3. Can you look at the gear other people are wearing except the look? No, you can’t.
In the current game I don’t even see the need for all of my characters that reached level 80 to get exotics anyway.
If there any content yet that is not beatable in ordinary blue or green equipment if you have the right skills?
Just wondering….
What about Mystic Forge/random non-dungeon exotics? Am I to understand that the Mystic Forge and random drops are limited to a certain stat-set? I’m actually not sure, just pointing out an obvious oversight if it is one.
There are always 3 stats on each piece of lvl 80 armor.
1 main and 2 sub stats.
Also they are never random and follow some patterns.
I just saw there is 1 set of armor that is buyable at the trading post that has condition damage, thoughness, precision.
The problem is the exotic crafted set with cd, vit, power would costs me 10 gold.
The other set that probably drops costs me around 10+ gold each piece.
I don’t care about the looks, but I really care about the stats distribution.
And I am disappointed that some combinations are just so hard and expansive to get, even if I don’t care about the looks at all!
You do realize that they never said thered be no grind right? There’s no grind for best STATED gear, nothing to do with best LOOKING gear, I mean hell I hit lv 80 and within an hour had a full set of exotic weapons (I’m to attached to my gears apperance to upgrade from my blues… Don’t judge me…)
I want gear with:
main: condition damage
second: toughness
third: I don’t really care, precision probably
There is no way to get exotic armor with those stats other then the dungeon sets.
For the best gear you have to farm the dungeons!
You can only avoid that if you are satisfied with the stats the crafting gear provides, which is just the usual distribution….
