Whether this is read or not, I guess I’ll add my 2 cents.

As a leader of a WvW/GvG guild, activity and interest in this game is currently at an all-time low.

My guild has always been more interested in a skillful style of gameplay, meaning we run the standard gvg size of 15-20. In the past, this was enough to go up against groups of 40+ and still have a reasonable chance of victory. It took good reaction time, good coordination, and good commanding, but there was always a chance. Since large guild have started unlocking the War Room upgrades (Banners, Airships, the usual) winning these type of fights is basically impossible. 2-3 people running Dragon Banners (which we have come across) make it so that the 15-20 will never beat the larger group. Avoiding the regular bomb (Necro Wells dropped at the same time, DH traps, etc) is challenging enough for 15-20 vs 40, now throw in 2-3 Dragon Banners with massive aoe, range, and damage, and you see that your skill group stands no chance. If you avoid the regular bomb, you still have to worry about the Banners, and you may not have enough to avoid all of them by the time they hit, or vice versa, you avoid the Banners but then get stuck in the regular bomb. Stability was nerfed and is basically worthless now with all the CCs that a 40+ sized group can output, so microplay and proper skill usage becomes key, but you do not have infinite dodges/skills, so you WILL get caught. This basically means that you just end up getting run over, again and again. And this is not fun.

People have posted the new, upcoming WvW patch notes, and while they are a step in the right direction, they may be too late. I’ve heard that the earliest these things can be implemented is mid/late 2016. For many guilds, this is too late. When you release this patch, you will be releasing it to the handful of players left that even go in to WvW. There are a slew of other games coming out that are already attracting our attention, and my guild is already getting started in one of them. Action needs to be taken sooner rather than later.

I started playing GW2 when it first came out. I’ve almost exclusively played WvW ever since I started. I do not wish to move to another game, but if WvW dies, I will have no choice. I want Anet to succeed in this endeavor, I really do. Listen to your community on this, Anet, or you soon will find yourselves without one. At least for WvW.

Sea of Sorrows is still alive and well. We will continue to fight and continue to hold our own in Tier 2. Don’t listen to the rumors, SoS is a stable server. On that note, here is more info on my guild, BGA.

Bad Guys Anonymous is looking to run 15-20 man organized wvw groups! We currently draw 10-15, but we need more!

What we are about: Our primary goal is to be a strong presence on the battlefield. Whether it’s going head to head with an enemy zerg, or flipping a T3 WP’d Keep, we will make the enemy respond to us!

What we offer: Organized WvW/Raids, competitive atmosphere but no drama/egos, about to enter the GvG scene!

Guild Raids: We raid Monday – Friday from 8pm-10pm EST. Training sessions will be held on Thursdays. Attendance at raids is mandatory if you are online. We require people to be in TS during a raid.

Guild Requirements: Attendance at raids is mandatory if you are online. We expect you to make at least 2 raids per week. (Obviously if real life issues pop up, we will understand, but please let us know in advance either in game or via our website.)

Use of the TS channel is mandatory during raids, even if you have no mic. Listening to the driver is a must for any guild that runs organized raids, and we are no exception

We don’t require 100% rep, but we do require you to rep during raids.

You will use the guild raid builds when we are raiding. Should you have ideas for a better version of our provided builds, please bring it up. We are always open to new suggestions.

We also have a guild website that we require you to use. This is because this is where we discuss guild issues and post our guild raid builds. Without access to the guild site, you will miss out on important information. Sign up is easy and free.

Bump! Still looking for Guardians, Warriors, Thieves, and we need a Wellomancer!

Bumping this because we have needs! We recently reformatted and don’t just run 5 man teams anymore! We now run 5-15 deep, depending on the situation, but we usually end up with about 10 people. (This allows us to take bigger targets, such as keeps, and to fight outnumbered against bigger groups that we kept running into during seasons.)

The Praetorians are looking for more people that enjoy roaming in small groups!

Who are we?

A small havoc/roaming guild that was formed in Sanctum of Rall, but recently relocated to Sea of Sorrows, we value small groups of 2-5 over larger groups that you often see in WvW. Our goal is to provide a skilled havoc/roaming presence for our server, while maintaining a fun and inclusive environment. We are mainly an NA guild and are looking for NA members, but we do have a few Aussie members, and we would like to expand on that too!

Why us?

The Praetorians has a unique approach to WvW. We don’t run with groups of larger than 5. We believe that a group of 5 is enough to accomplish most everything that needs to be accomplished from a roaming/havoc perspective. When we fill up a group of 5, that group starts roaming and another group is started. It’s not uncommon to see multiple groups of [PRAE] running around in a borderland. Who are we looking for?

Anybody that is a fan of the roaming/havoc style of gameplay. We are a laid back guild, so any class is fine. All that we ask is that our members utilize our TS! We do utilize a tryout system to ensure that potential recruits will fit in with our playstyle and with our current members. Once you get an invite, we run with you in WvW to see if our styles and personalities mesh. This is to ensure that we don’t get too big (We want to maintain a smaller roster of no more than 50-60 people) and that those who are accepted are able to play their class efficiently.

Our guild has been hit by attrition and some members going on to larger guilds for bigger fights, but we believe in our mission of small team combat.
