This turned out in a nice discussion. Lets address a few points:
1. I spent a LOOONG time grinding everything i need for my legendary. I wanted the feat to mean something. The problem with the WvW map completion system is that is flawed. If you are on one of the lower servers sure, you’ll probably get it easier, but as i said anyone who says that thay have flipped a Garrison on the t1 group more than 2-3 times a week (exceptions when one of the sides is a newcomer that somehow ended up with the wrong groups) is delusional. At least for prime time. At 4-5 AM probably, but i work 40 hour week and i can play 3-4 hours in the evening and thats it.
2. The person saying SFR was red last week, you sir are not only a lier but also quite stupid as this is something that can be looked up online.
3. I would be all for WvW map completion if the vistas and POI were accessible from the outside. Like this you have to spend months waiting and praying that its either flipped when you happen to be online or by some miracle of god you are red that week. There is no achievment here, there is no effort, there is no skill… its just pure waiting.
4. Guilds have been kind enough to try to flip the garrisons when people need them, thanks to sIN in general on SFR for attempting this, but usually its a feet that takes a lot of luck.. And my guild is not that WvW active so its not like we could do it. Or should i abandon my friends, go to a WvW guild just to craft an item in game?
So yes the frustration is real
But i am just annoyed by the stupid system in place. Legendaries are supposed to be individual effort, everything regarding a legendary is obtainable solo. They are not supposed to be a 1 in a million chance to just go and touch a stupid vista…
