Lovestruck daggers have glowing red hearts on them, it’s what I use. Check them out!
I will pay real money for this. +1

I want to spend real money to support this game. I want to buy gems. I have no reason to buy gems though, because all of the cosmetic items I want are town clothes only. I want to be able to wear the cool head slot items with my normal gear. I also would like to spend real money on transmute stones to transmute my exotics to cool looking comsetic items, but I can not because the feature is not in the game.
Please, take my money. I want to give you my money. I will not hesitate to instantly wiretap you money from paypal if you would at the very least allow me to use the awesome head slot items as real gear. If you said that it cost 2000 gems to buy a transmute stone to allow me to make my normal gear the bunny ears, I would not even blink as I bought 2 perhaps 3 sets of them.
So please, I have money. If you want I can send you pics of dollar bills that are loney and want a good home. Please A-Net, will you not give my dollar bills a good home??
I emplore you to add the ability to make town clothes slotted as real gear via transmute stones, or at the very least, head slot cosmetic gear as real gear. I will pay you to do this.

The tier 3 is not bad, but we need more items that look good that are not 30 gold a shot. Now while I agree that cost should not be that big a deal, it is not a very good example to use the one set of gear that costs 100 gold for the full set as your benchmark for all other sets to be judged upon. Average everyday players are simply not going to have 100 gold to spend on a set that is purely for vanity.
I think that everyone is clouding the issue here. The reality of the situation is that I see almost every single female plate class wearing one of 2 skins (one looks like skimpy furs held together by chains, the other is the gladiator look with the fishnet stockings), and I see almost every single female thief wearing the other catsuit skimpy skin in some variance. It is quite apparent what the best looking skins are for plate and medium, and that is what people are going to wear. We NEED to get more skins like those I have mentioned. It almost feels like every female looks the same at this point, depending on thier archetype.
We need more skins, to be quite honest. Let’s get on this.

Yes, that works also. No matter how they do it, the nifty head slot items (at the very least the head slot items, prehaps all town clothes) need to be able to be worn at all times as real gear, not just town clothes. There is simply too many cool things to get and players would love this.
Everyone I talked to in game and my IRL friends who play said they would pay gems for this feature. This needs to be put in the game, ASAP.

At the very least, all head slot town clothes need to be transmuteable so we can wear them with normal gear. There is absolutely no reason to not do this, and many players (myself included) would pay real money to get awesome headgear like sunglasses, bunny ears, or facemasks.
It makes you money, and it makes us happy. It is a win / win situation.

To get people to buy stuff.
I will buy it if I can wear it full time. If I can not wear it full time, forget it.
This is also a quite good reason why they need to let us wear it full time.

When I say clothes, I mean real gear not town gear. There is no reason people should not be allowed to have short skirts and bikini tops for thier normal gear, and as it stands now the choices are very few and far inbetween for those types of gear, and almost non-existant for classes that are not light armor.
I was excited to see the new town clothes, then I realized that I could not transmute them into my normal gear. Please allow us to transmute the town clothes item so we can make our gear look as we wish. There is really no reason to not do that.
Now I know somone is going to say “what about pvp”? But it is simple… If a player is stopping to see if I am wearing sunglasses before I kill then, then it is thier loss.
Even if you do not want the main clothes to look like town clothes, there is no reason that we can not at the very least use head slot items with our normal gear. It would be awesome if a char warrior was wearing shades for example.
So come on guys, at least let us use head slots vanity gear with normal gear via transmute stones. That is not asking too much, and it would look awesome.

There is no reason why a player who wants to look sexy can not do so. The OP is not asking for nudity. They are simply asking for players to not all be forced to wear trench-coats. Medium and Heavy sets have basically one or 2 pieces that you see the vast majority of players running around in, because they clearly look best and are the most sexy.
Some people will never understand that just because someone likes to look good, does not make them a deviant. There is no nudity, nor is there any sexual situations whatsoever in this game. Asking for a player to be given the ability to wear a bikini top or a skimpy short skirt is not asking for too much. Even the light armor in this game has very little to offer in the way of skimpy clothes, most are much more conservative that a lot of women wear out to clubs theese days.
People need to get down with the idea that it is no longer 1952 and the world is not as black and white when it comes to skimpy clothes as it once was.

Is there any word on when we are going to get a barber put in the game so I can change my hairstyle?
I am sure it has been asked for, and I am willing to pay crystals for it, I just would like to know when this is on the way.
Thanks!

The reason the system is the way it is now is because they need to make money. There is no monthly subscription fee. It has to be this way or the game will make no money, and henceforth shut down.
I asked for a stone to give us the look of other gear archetypes (medium can use graphics fom light or heavy etc…) and I would be willing to pay for it. That is a much more realistic request because it makes them money, where as your request loses them money.
So with that being said, I think your suggestion will not happen to be honest.

PS
You can buy more bank slots with gems. You know, to keep all those extra cosmetic gear slots you got laying around. Oh wait… that makes them money also… See a pattern here?
Kuzzi, If you honestly are stopping to check out if a player is wearing a dress or if it is just a long trenchcoat before how you decide to fight them, you probabaly have already lost the fight…
The Thief vs Engineer example is perfect. Both classes can look exactly alike, but will play totally different. How about sword weilding casters as compared to human cultural armour for heavy that is a halter top and skirt?
The truth of the matter is that if you look at the PVP locker and look at all the gear in the game, you will see that every set (light, medium, and heavy) has multiple sets and items that could easily be mistaken for something other than they are slotted as.
The simple truth of the matter is that some players (myself included) not only care about what they look like, it is a total gamebreaker if they are unhappy about it. Now, we have a really good system here with loads of options and if players are willing to spend real money on upgrades to change what they look like, it should be implemented.
GW2 does not have a monthly subscription. It needs players to buy stuff off the store to survive. This is clearly a way to get players to not only spend money to keep this game thriveing, but to also make a large ammount of players happy.
I can see no reason to not allow it.

I like how detailed the character dye system, and I even think the transmutation stones are a nice idea also, but I would like to add one thing…
I would love to see us be able to purchace stones that let us transmute our graphics from any piece of gear, not just our archetype. For example, I HATE how boots look for medium armour, but with dyes I can make some awesome looking heavy boots. But… because I am a medium class, I can not use the graphics… ever.
I know that the graphics are coded already for my class and race already because I can preview what I look like with the other graphics so there is no reason we can not have this. If this game is going to survive totally on bought items from the store, I can tell you with ABSOLUTE certanity that I would pay for gems if I could use it to get the exact gear look that I want.
With the current stones system I can make my starter gear have level 80 stats. If this is the case, then I see absolutely no reason why we can’t use the graphics we want for our gear, to make us look as awesome as we like.

PS
Seriously, I would pay real money to be able to do this. Just consider it.
