Thank you so much for this information. My solution was to switch the chat log to the upper left and tape a piece of cardboard over the lower left corner of my monitor so I don’t see it. This is really shockingly, appallingly bad UI design, so I hope it is a bug (in which case it is just really bad bug fixing).

So I am still playing through the original game content (just hit 80 on my first char) and this hint box pops up every single time I kill something. I cannot spend points because masteries are locked (I cannot even do what Djinn suggests because there is nothing to switch to). I can’t unlock them because I haven’t made it that far in the story yet. There has to be a way to turn this off, because this is completely ridiculous.

Seriously, this thing has a giant orange exclamation point and a huge arrow that floats up and down. I am actually autistic and I literally cannot focus with stuff moving around like that. I need a way to make this go away so I can keep playing. >.<

Hey, thanks for the reply. I am playing on my desktop which I am controlling with a USB keyboard and mouse connected to my laptop. I have tried windowed, fullscreen, and fullscreen windowed, with no difference. Everything else I do works fine (to the point I often forget my keyboard/mouse are not plugged into my desktop), but GW2 just has this issue. I will check out the website you linked, thanks.

Whenever I try to play GW2 using Mouse Without Borders, clicking either mouse button causes my camera to immediately snap to either staring straight up at the sky (most of the time) or staring straight down at the ground (less common). This is not an action camera issue (not using it), just a problem when using MWB.

The thing is, though, MWB works fine for every other game and application I have ever used it for (including other MMOs and online games), and I can’t find any references (on this forum or google) to known problems using MWB with GW2. Just wondering if anyone knows about this problem/knows a solution, because I would really like this to work.
