Looks like our Taiwanese guilds are going to be holding us in the fight. We had a few NA guilds transfer in these past couple weeks but they seem to have brought a few bad habits from their previous servers. If they work out their kinks we should be sticking around this tier for a while

I just want to add that of the new guilds, I worked with WE guild last night and they did well. I think our NA crew did not do too badly. Last night when I logged out we were about 2k behind from 1st.

WE Love you too Duel, We worked really well together in Yak’s last night and as of writing this post we are STILL holding south east tower and east keep! Obviously with much help from all the rest of the server who also put up a valiant fight with us from server reset!

In Closing, You’re gone, DH will survive, we’ll retake a couple of towers in the morning after the DB zerg takes total control of the map, a few guys from DB will say ‘awesome fight taking back those couple of towers DB (or BP)’, we’ll repeat that process until Reset, and we’ll begin again, fighting like DH ALWAYS has done, in spite of this crap you keep spewing about how bad they are.

DH fought back after Coa, after GoF and yes, we’ll even survive You Gods Of WVW known as WE.

TLDR: Get over yourselves, wvw isn’t that hard.

I definitely don’t picture either server to drop to the bottom. At all. They are REALLY putting up a good fight. May I remind everyone that most of the points that we currently have (nearly 100ish k) were earned BEFORE the transfers? If anything, I think that the guilds that left have raised the other servers’ fighting spirit moreso than before. I am impressed with how much they are stepping it up and packing a serious punch while they do.

I loved DH as a server, however the majority of the server did not want to get communicate together to do wvw. Our server tried setting up many alliances, Website, Public Voice coms etc. But still no guilds came to use them, 90% of all the current guilds wvwing for 1-6 hours a day on DH are PVE orientated as previously they hardly ever dedicated a true wvw force on a daily basis.

Darkhaven is a Tier 7 server, The wvw glicko system will drop slowly due to its design (DH will be Dropping a tier next week) but this is where DH is with its size in numbers considering they can only hold/defend one map currently as a server.

I really do hope DH can pull their kitten together and actually work together, however our guild [WE] tried and tried to help that move along to no success.

Servers don’t die. New leaders will rise-up in due time and you will once again find exciting WvW matches. A similar thing happened to Dragonbrand a couple months ago and many people lost hope, but we’ve since bounced back from that.

My understanding and opinion is the Oceanic guilds brought Dragonband back up. Without the Hardcore Asian guilds “TFV, TWIN, NNK” I doubt very much that Dragonbrand would of bounced back up from death as easily as it did.

Darkhaven will not be able to bounce back so easily as DB did. Oceanic time zones are the hardest to fill NA is the easiest.

It is with great sadness that I want to announce that Win Everyday(WE) is moving from Darkhaven to Dragonbrand. We’ve been with Darkhaven since the release of the game(three of our commanders are among the first ten on the server), we have helped build up the server since the DHU alliance tore the heart out of Darkhaven’s WvW forces, we helped again after Darkhaven reached tier4 and was destroyed. But the situation for Darkhaven’s organic WvW scene is worse than ever before. After the DHU fiasco Darkhaven had RE, GoF, SE, HoT, HVN and WE ready to step in and rebuild.

Now? GoF is gone, SE is gone, HoT has more or less retired from WvW, HVN has folded, RE is leaving.

This would not be crippling for Darkhaven, if it had another group of guilds waiting in the wings to save the server. But it does not. I’ve watched closely, putting hours into WvW every single day since release. Guilds like Omen, DRoW, SoS all had potential to really aid Darkhaven’s WvW scene, but none have reached critical mass, and each has somewhat withdrawn from WvW.

WE have tried the alliance game. We’ve tried the server-community website. We’ve offered a public mumble to everyone on Darkhaven. There has been little to no response. We’ve coordinated and communicated with anyone and everyone on the server who are willing. And the vast bulk of the server doesn’t care. Their version of WvW is simple. Enter WvW and ask, “Where is the karma train?” If there is no karma train, leave WvW. Defend? Not a chance.

And we’re done trying. It isn’t worth it anymore. Darkhaven is a PVE server at heart. BURN, DHE, TRA and others all have hundreds of members, and have little to no desire to do WvW.

To that small band of loyal fighters(those who respond to defensive calls, and leave the karma train) we’re sorry to abandon you. Silverback, Skap, Togochubb, Lokii, Flint; Omen, DR, PD, EXE, PaK members, and a few others I’m sure I’m forgetting. We’re sorry. You guys all deserve so much better.

WE like working with you guys, and hope you’ll consider coming along to Dragonbrand.

We did not make this decision lightly, We have been deciding whether or not to leave for well over 3 weeks now. Nothing more needs to be said we made our minds up and moved on to a better community which has communication and has the qualities that Darkhaven does not have anymore. Which makes it much more enjoyable to us.

Celebrate the PUGs, celebrade small guilds. If RE is the only big one, help the smaller ones get bigger. Help train the new commanders. Make an alliance and invite them to join. Have weekly meetings to talk about strategy. Tell people often to join your public voice chat server. Have someone develop a community website and tell people to join. Do PVE events and then invite them to join you in wvw next. There are many thing you can do to make your server stronger without needing big guild transfers from other servers.

DKz has been in Borlis since beta. We used to be a PVE guild, like most other guilds we have in the server. It took us many weeks to learn about wvw and also educate those that play with us.

Right now DH’s biggest problem is not numbers, it is morale. If you are telling me you see new PUGs every day, then that’s great news. That’s a lot of people that can become wvw regulars in the future. PUGs are only PUGs for a while, eventually, they become WvW veterans.

Even Monkey Shine has improved.

Lol good post sir. However an alliance has and was setup but people in said guilds did not EVER want to work together for the server as a whole.

There was bickering and fighting and ego stroking no one wanted to work together. They just wanted to sit and complain about another guild and hold grudges and shout who is the best and who are the only ones that Do anything in WvW because they are supposedly the only ones who do anything for this server.

This is one of the main reasons why DH is dying / falling apart.

We have tried to get the community aspect going, but there has not been that much of a wvw following, Or any activity other than the few that use it. There is only essentially 3 guilds that im aware of that can bring 20+ at any given time to the Borderlands.. Darkhaven has been bleeding guilds now for a while and we are just holding on by a thread.

And you’re right Littlefeather FA and other servers will attest to Darkhaven’s ability to hold towers and keeps but its not “Just RE.” Here lets show some of what FA has posted in the past.

All the guilds listed have done a great job and also the small forces Darkhaven has to, and we cannot just say it was all because of “ONE” guild.

Over the past two days I have to say, Darkhaven is bringing some serious pain in the prime time hours. GoF, RE, SE, WE, ABC and others have done a great job defending and countering us. I especially like that some of the players zone hop to keep us guessing. THIS is the Darkhaven I expected to see from the start.

Skill wise I’d rank [WE] the highest. To the guy saying it took a “60 man Fort Aspenwood force and a golem” to kick 20 players out of FA borderlands, well I guess that’s sorted then and you’re just 3x better than our hardcore WvW players, huh? Give yourself a pat on the back.

I think I’d be offended if I were from DH. Seems like one guild keeps taking credit for all their victories.

I think the majority of the guilds on our server couldn’t really give a toot who takes credit.. Guilds or people who try to claim credit or portray them selves to be better than the other guilds are weak and have no idea what holds a server like ours together.

We all work at different times holding those key positions till more people come on and replace them. Said guilds go on break from wvw often as has been seen previously and the other guilds on our server will ALWAYS pick up the slack. keep up the fight Darkhaven!

I knew a post like this was gonna come sooner or later for sorrows, all i can say is really? against 2 dead servers? I hope people don’t think its because you’re actually putting up a fight to hold these points.

I alone setup 8 arrow carts, 2 ballista, 2 catapults on SH in FA BL, each gate had atleast 5-8 arrow carts 1 ballista and 1 catapult, side walls had 4 arrow carts. ENough for 20-25 people to man siege. Why do you people prioritize a tower and supply camp over a Keep ! ?…

Almost everyday I ask my self why am I here in DH

[GoF] took over a lot of the map in Dh BL with pug support, once [GoF] left to hit EBG before they went off to bed [WE] steped in to control the left over mini zerg force to hold and retake areas.

We been holding it since 6PM, its now 10PM and we still fighting as im typing this, But your right pugs need to defend but they wont till their guild becomes more active in wvw and learns that zerg mentality will not always work for point generation. so inviting those pugs into guilds to learn wvw is the only way.

So I was reading that a guild left Darkhaven? Who is the bandwagon jumper this week? Just curious!

And I like Ethersin a lot, a very enjoyable commander to be under. I also enjoy Rethesis, they seem to know how to get stuff together and take things! (Well, the few golem crashed I have been to were cool.)

So what guild left this time? Was it one who joined us last week because we were winning? Or was it one who joined the week before last because we were winning?

Sorry it is hard to keep track of all the guilds who come and go so often…

There’s a rumor and nothing more. People causing drama.

Huge WvW guild ICoA left.

I wouldn’t say it was a “Huge” guild, It was an average size guild which came from another server and then moved on again to another server “Blackgate.” [ICoa] Used to be [ViP] from Northern Shiverpeaks. From my understanding only like less then 100 people moved over which was stated by a member of theirs which could be inflated.

As to being on Darkhaven we will not know how hard we are hit till we hit next week and have another crack at other servers we have fought previously to get a sense of where we are at now.

[WE] Thanks every guild and person who has taken the effort to notice and post about our interactions. Every guild on Darkhaven has been fighting very hard over the past few days… We all are trying to push back in WvW but its very hard when the majority of our servers pugs will not because of them giving up.

I’d like to give a massive shout out to [GODS] and [PRO] You guys got a massive following… One of the biggest zergs that I’ve seen in a very very long time.

And to [GoF], We need to organize a better time to group up to make a wvw push We’ll be in touch seems our guys play time is when you guys log out.

Keep up the good work guilds & people from Darkhaven, We never give up or jump ship when the server starts losing. (at least not all of us.)

So many people leaving Darkhaven such a shame. But there is also a lot of people staying, Especially the big names in wvw have not left. The guilds who have left weren’t darkhaven born but more or less transfers of transfers who seem to jump around. As every server has seen and has them.

We had about maybe 8 people help to defend the 1 tower and 1 “east keep” in Fort aspenwood borderlands. We held off you’re still large but smaller zerg from taking it over till you called in back up support where we counted around 60 people or so.

I think the funnest thing about this battle was the need to use Trebs and Omega Golems on such a small number of Defenders Guess our bombing tactics worked well.
