I have Vipre as well and what I did was to add ArenaNetworks.com to the bad web site exceptions list. That fixed the issue for me.

Just a heads-up:

This morning when I tried to start the game the launcher hit me with the message “Download failed. Please check your internet connection and try again.” and completely froze. Got past it by temporarily turning my internet security suite off.

After doing the daily I began to troubleshoot. After some digging I found out that for some reason my security suite blocked assetcdn.101.ArenaNetworks.com as a suspicious website. After assuring said suite that ArenaNetworks.com is a good domain all is good again.
