Well, yes, I agree that people should really sell things at the price they want,
but since there is some form of market control (the vendor prices), the market isn’t exactly “free”. I think this is because the goods in a virtual world are kind of different than the goods in the real world, and there just has to be a way of disposing the stuff that people don’t want to buy, and that place is the vendor NPC. So I guess that if the developers want to set a standard for prices, I guess it should be applied to the trading post as well.

I’m not sure where can I post a suggestion but I suppose here will do. I apologize if I’m in the wrong section.
What I’ve seen in the trading post is that people don’t really know about the fees it applies on sales. So most of the items have someone selling them at below vendor price.
Example:
A gem can be sold for 60c at the NPC vendor. The trading post lets you sell it at a minimum of 61c, though you lose 5% for a listing fee and 10% more for a succesful sale.
So you lose 15% of the 61c you sell your gem for. That’s 9.15c – I guess it gets rounded down to 9c.
So effectively, you are selling the gem for 52c at the trading post when you can sell it for 60c at a vendor.
What I’d like to suggest is, that there is a dialog option with the trading post representatives which explains the fees at the trading post, and also that the trading post doesn’t let you sell anything below vendor price after the fees have been applied.
This is a big deal because people are losing time and money, because they simply don’t know the rules at the trading post, and because if they are selling a certain type of goods at below vendor price, then noone can really use the trading post to buy low and sell high from that type of goods. It just makes everyone lose money.

not that im complaining now but the trading post seems to be giving me stuff
i ordered 100 copper ore and i got 111… i think i didnt get charged extra but i dont know if the guy who sold it to me got his money…
please fix the trading post
