I hate those kinds of videos that conveniently cut out right when things take a turn for the worse. I’ve got a lot of wipes and deaths on my YouTube channel. The way I see it, if you don’t acknowledge your failures how will you learn from your mistakes?

I just want to make one point: Why is someone a poor sport if they don’t want to play the game exactly like you do?
I don’t think they’re the ones being the poor sport.
Laugh emotes, saying, “look at the score,” and insulting people who want to do things differently than you are all examples of poor sportsmanship in my book.
I assume you are from DragonWagon so I am not surprised that the definition of fair play eludes you.

I think you are misinterpreting his /laugh emote. It was simply joy at finding a Dragonbrand player who didn’t run away from a fight. You should feel privileged! In fact, I was roaming around all morning and every time I’d run into a lone DB-er, he’d either run away or occupy me to give his ally time to arrive and 2v1 me. I’ve never seen such poor sportsmanship in WvW. It’s surprising that Agg didn’t uproot and move on to a better server yet; I think they’re just feeling charitable when they gaze down at the unwashed, uneducated and cowardly masses of DB.

I’d focus on improving GvG performances if I were you.
Are you referring to the PYRO vs. Agg GvG? There’s no shame in losing to Agg. They are a competent guild with excellent sportsmanship. To my knowledge, no Agg member engaged in trash-talk in this thread. On the other hand, were we to accept a challenge from BP, we’d find ourselves in a zugzwang. Were we to lose, it would be a loss against BP. Were we to win, it would only be victory against BP and therefore meaningless. Same goes for EA. On the other hand, I’m sure Paralda wouldn’t refuse another challenge from Agg. We may not win as many GvGs as our D|ERP brothers and sisters but we learn and adapt.

I am not sure about this, Snake.
Before this match-up, I heard Calvin mentioned every now and then in conversations. I have to admit, that raised my expectations so I am quite disappointed to see the real thing right now. The only thing that makes Calvin remotely interesting is that he seems to be the only Dragonbrand player who makes his intentions clear, as opposed to all the passive-aggressive posts from his fellow Dragonwagon passengers. This said, I find that Calvin is overrated as a troll and his provocations are rather crude and unimaginative. In fact, Sol puts a lot more effort into his posts and does not rely on his reputation so much. I’d argue that Sol is an underrated troll but that isn’t relevant to the current discussion. Basically, I’ve seen far better trolls, people who rarely repeat themselves and make their true intentions a lot less obvious. I would equate Calvin with RC Cola. A few people might consider it better than the competition while the majority of Coca-Cola and Pepsi Cola drinkers never even heard of it.

If you look at the current server rankings ( http://mos.millenium.org/na ), you’ll see that we on Maguuma have absolutely nothing to gain from teaming up with either server. Despite being outclassed, Stormbluff Isle is going up in ranks simply due to being matched against two higher servers. Dragonbrand is gaining points by being the victor in the current fight so that leaves Maguuma in a very bad situation. Short of beating Dragonbrand in score at the end of the week, we’re going to lose this week’s match-up. Therefore, it makes no sense to team up with SBI against DB. Obviously agreements reached between guilds will remain valid but keep in mind that no alliance can be beneficial to Maguuma.

Our dance was a slow and dignified dance of death, cleansing and renewal. Blood and corruption swirled around us, as each of us bled organic wisps of darkness and swarms of luminescent green insects traced intricate patterns in the dusk. Slowly but decisively, I gained the upper hand and I was willing to let you go. You chose to stay, which made my heart race as I was siphoning life out of you. Then the stupid ranger appeared out of nowhere and shot you full of stupid arrows. Bang, bang, my (stupid) ranger shot you down!
To the nameless tank Necromancer, I wish you were with me again. I was reluctant to spend time with you but you proved me wrong and presented me your lootbag. I wish I could tell you how much this meant to me.

Can we get back to WvW ? so many Magumma forum posters ganging up on one person, it’s like bullying. If your server were trying to recruit any other guilds to progress to Tier 2, they would see your posts and I doubt they want to join your community.

Wow, I’m afraid to quote anything right now since it’s all probably going to be deleted soon. Anyway, congratulations on your new commander, Kaineng, may he lead you to greatness. Hopefully he’ll fight with the same zeal in-game as he does out of game.
It’s quite interesting that the past 2-3 pages are essentially a silly argument about which server has the highest numbers, with people using that as an excuse for poor performance. There is probably a very simple way to verify numbers but it’s hardly relevant. Winners don’t make excuses, only losers do. I know it’s very appealing to claim that you only lost because the other side had a bigger zerg. This said, all you’re doing is implying that you have no control over the outcome of the battle: you’re giving up.
Speaking of morale and fighting spirit, Yak’s Bend is doing really well right now!
