To anyone who is using the API to build 3rd-party apps, I have a question (I am working in C#):

Example: you need to get an item. You gotta create a class that will be used to gather the info from the JSON returned by the API.

What I’d like to know is: does your class needs to implement every single property of the JSON object returned or you could just implement the properties you need for your own app only?

(A good example of this, recipes have a property that states how many milliseconds it takes to do the crafting, but I don’t need this information for my app.)

First I wanna say that this API is really kewl and I’m working on a project using the API. I’m currently working on a solution to retrieve the items I need without making too many calls, and I was wondering about the build id in the API. The wiki doesn’t say a lot about it.

Does that build id only changes when there is a new update to the game or it changes on other occasions too? Since my app will be keeping some info from the API so I don’t make to many requests to it, I was wondering if the build id could be used as a flag that the info saved from the API needs to be updated when the id number changes?

Unauthorized use of graphics…would that include Professions, items, skills,… icons? Cause a lot of apps and websites use those.

Gonna take a good look at all this. Didn’t have in mind to use the API though.

Hello everyone, I’m studying computer sciences (so programming of course among others) and I thought about an app I could create (for Android devices most probably) related to the game.

Now the question: is it possible to make a paying app or does it have to be free or have a donation option? Could making a paying app cause some problems with the game copyrights or any of that stuff?

When you choose the last skin pattern, it causes a bug in this face (and some other faces too): some parts of the face (right eye for this one) have the skin pattern color instead of the skin color.
