Just having this problem recently, my fps drop significantly after installing win8. After checking it seem that my GPU and CPU utilization is only at about 50% and 30%. So I change my power option to High performance and got my FPS back
My PC crashed and I installed windows 8. I restored the file from previous working gw2.dat (around 15gb) but the installer started to download the whole client again (around 220k file). I have tried to create a shortcut with additional -repair command, and tried the support line. But they say that win8 is not supported, so I wonder if anyone have similar problem and the fix?
