The Lightning Hammer now became Interesting. Gonna think of something and play around it for a few day.
Should be pretty fun playing it with lightning rod. Leap → Quickness → Static Field → Wind Blast → Super Speed → Lighning Storm away.
Possibly with an offhand warhorn for Cyclone and Tidal Surge.

Weaver surviviability is probably gonna be alright even if it is melee only.
Surely not in Zerg, but I can see it getting a lot of potential in Roaming.
I’m only worried about the fact that we need to change element 2 times to get the offhand element we want and this is gonna put the “transition” element on cd except with fresh air. It means controlling our rotations better to ensure not getting stuck in an element which is alright if we can get better rewards out of it.
Gonna need to test those rotations a lot…
water/arcane/weaver or water/lightning/weaver seems to work well together.
If you are in t4 and were that thief I killed multiple times around north camp. Then that was probably me. Most thieves are not an issue with this build. Reapers are still scissor vs paper with this build. Was finishing you with comet into a air combo, gale into phoenix combo, or both just to lock you down when you were low.
Its an Scepter/Focus build: Air/Water/Tempest, celestial armor, runes of the trooper, marauder/berserker everything else. The utilities I was using were feel the burn, aftershock, and arcane missiles. With the arcane missile ammo change has made killing runners easier. Focus has cc/damage avoidance but less healing compared to other offhand, so its harder to recover when low. It has 3 reflects: overload earth, magnetic wave and aftershock. Magnetic wave can cleanse 3 conditions too, so use it for reflect or condition removal. Obsidian Flesh is the uh oh button so its best to have a heal ready after that or use it for stomps.
I swap back to scepter after air aa was buffed a bit. It does slightly less damage than dagger when fully charged. Instead of not being able to compare to dagger aa even when using multiple skills. At times I want more damage so I am considering changing my gear to marauders but with the xpac I should wait a bit.
Hi, I’m curious about you taking water over earth when you don’t have any cantrip ?
Is it only for the condi cleanse ?
Overall I feel this is a Great patch, the Marksmanship trait line seems way better for my playstyle.
And I feel that people over-estimate the old SotW. I personally wasn’t using it. I was running Survival LB Power build with SoS, QZ/SoR and Lightning Reflexe. Strengh of the Pack still give 10 stack for 8 sec. which is more than enough for me.
And we get a 6sec. of unblockable attack, am I the only one who feel this is good ?
The 3Sec. stowed pet is kinda weird and really bad, I agree…
Thanks guys, I think I’ll go with the dagger off-hand, cause I really like it even if this isn’t very strong, but I like fire grab, fire ring and RDL, and it is more aoe. So if there’s 2 peoples or a mesmer, it will be easier to hit them all . With sc/f you have more cc and surviability, but mehh… I don’t really like the focus even if this is strong right now. And the warhorn… I think the animation speed is so slowwww, would be a great offhand if it was faster.

I’m searching for an Ele build PvP/WvW roaming that can deal massive dammage in a short amount of time.
Something high risk high reward (one shot or get one shot).
Cause I’m really tired of playing D/F celestial and not dying but not killing anything.
I played thief full zerker, but I don’t really like thief skills overall, so I wanna have a similar build for Ele.
Is that possible with the current meta ?
